Jacob’s Two Wives

In Defense of the Jews ~Barbara Grover 122916

IS GOD FINISHED WITH ISRAEL?

Anti-Zionism has swept through both the world and the church with the popular but unholy premise that God replaced Israel with the Gentile church. Replacement theorists actually blame the Jews, not their enemies, for the problems in the Mideast.

Replacement Theorists reminds us of those Jews at Kadesh Barnea who did not understand the provision of the Promised Land thus being ignorant of the ways of God.

For forty years I was grieved with that generation (of those at Kadesh Barnea), and said, ‘It is a people who go astray in their hearts, and they do not know My ways.’ Psalm 95:10

The God who knows the end from the beginning saw this evil coming and reminds us of His solid promise given to the Jews through Jeremiah the prophet (even before they were taken into Babylonian captivity):

Thus says the Lord, Who gives the sun for a light by day, The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, Who disturbs the sea, And its waves roar (The Lord of hosts is His name):

“If those ordinances depart from before Me, says the Lord, Then the seed of Israel shall also cease from being a nation before Me forever.”

Thus says the Lord: “If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel For all that they have done, says the Lord.

Jeremiah 31:35-37

In other words, only if the sun falls out of the sky will God turn His back on the Jews. A full study of scripture explains how He will continue to work with the Jewish people until finally, at the end of days they earnestly seek Him in their anguish.

If God could forget the Jews He can also forget His Gentile church. But God is God from everlasting to everlasting and His mercies endure forever; God can forget neither Jew nor Gentile.

Who are the Jews? Jews are people born Jewish. Anyone not born Jewish is Gentile (even if they convert to Judaism). “A Jew is a member of the people and cultural community whose traditional religion is Judaism and (those) who trace their origins through the ancient Hebrew people of Israel to Abraham.” ~Wikipedia

Replacement theorists profess there are no remaining Jews, claiming those who claim to be “Jewish” are counterfeit Jews – absurd isn’t it?

God has put His thumbprint in the DNA of Jews.

Genetic studies of DNA have proven this:

“Y-chromosomal Aaron is the name given to the hypothesized most recent common ancestor of many of the patrilineal Jewish priestly caste known as Kohanim. In the Hebrew Bible this ancestor is identified as Aaron, the brother of Moses. Research published in 1997 and thereafter has indicated that some contemporary Jewish Kohanim share Y-chromosomal Haplogroup J1 (Y-DNA) with a set of genetic markers, … which may well derive from a single common ancestor. Later, in 2007, the same team announced that they found another common set of genetic markers related to present-day traditional Kohanim families in Haplogroup J2 (Y-DNA).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Y-chromosomal_Aaron

A study published by the National Academy of Sciences stated that “The results support the hypothesis that the paternal gene pools of Jewish communities from Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East descended from a common Middle Eastern ancestral population, and suggest that most Jewish communities have remained relatively isolated from neighboring non-Jewish communities during and after the Diaspora.” Researchers expressed surprise at the remarkable genetic uniformity they found among modern Jews, no matter where the diaspora (scattering) has become dispersed around the world.

Moreover, DNA tests have demonstrated substantially less inter-marriage in most of the various Jewish ethnic divisions over the last 3,000 years than in other populations.

These findings lend support to traditional Jewish accounts accrediting their founding to exiled Israelite populations, and counters theories that many or most of the world’s Jewish populations were founded by entirely gentile populations that adopted the Jewish faith.

The scientists estimated the date of the original priest (Aaron, the brother of Moses) based on genetic mutations, which indicated that the priest lived roughly 106 generations ago, between 2,650 and 3,180 years ago depending whether one counts a generation as 25 or 30 years.”

Note: Aaron, the brother of Moses crossed the Red Sea with Moses 1446 BC.
2022 AD – 1446 BC = 3,468 yrs. At 108 generations from present, each generation would be 32 yrs.

JACOB AS A TYPE OF THE GODHEAD

Jacob is a type of the Godhead; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit a. As such, Since Jacob is a type of God; it is significant he had two wives. It is also significant how he came to marry two sisters. [Genesis chapters 29 through 33] Likewise, God has two wives: God called the Jews of the Old Testament his (espoused) wife while Grace Age Believers are called the Bride of Christ. In this vein, God has two wives: The Jews and the Gentiles.

JACOB’S TWO WIVES

Rachel represents the Jews as God’s Old Testament wife (with Gentile exceptions) while Leah represents the Gentile Bride of Christ (with Jewish exceptions).

Jacob wept when he kissed Rachel. Likewise; Jesus wept over Jerusalem.

Genesis 29:11 Then Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice and wept.
Luke 19:41 [Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem] Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it.

Rachel was barren and envied her sister because she was giving birth to many sons. According to the apostle Paul, the fruitful Gentile believers (Leah) provoke the Jews (Rachel) to envy.

Genesis 30:1 Now when Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister, and said to Jacob, “Give me children, or else I die!”

Romans 11:11-12 (Israel’s Rejection Not Final) I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles.

DISCLAIMER

The extrapolation of this spiritual theory is not intended to promote multiple marriages of many wives. Scripture has made it clear that a man is to have one wife in a faithful relationship. (Ref I Timothy 3:2, I Tim 3:12, I Tim 5:9, Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:31)

TWO WIVES: TWO AGENDAS

Before proceeding further, note the Gentiles came before the Jews in history, just as Leah was the “elder” Gentile sister.

God seemingly has two agendas: one for his kingdom on earth and one for his believers in heaven. Scripture makes it explicitly clear it will be the Jewish people who are designated for God’s kingdom on earth when Jesus rules in Jerusalem during the Millennium:

Zechariah 8:23 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”’”

Grace Age believers; however, are designated to become joint-heirs and rule with Christ.

Prior to the Age of Grace, God focused on the Jews, with Gentile exceptions such as Rahab the Harlot and Ruth the Moabite. During the Age of Grace, God is focusing on Gentiles with Jewish exceptions such as the Messianic Jews. The apostle Paul wrote that the Jews are blinded in part during this time of the Gentiles [Romans 11:25].

God told Abraham, the father of Faith, that his descendants would be as numerous as the dust of the earth and the stars of the sky. One kingdom is earthly and the other kingdom is heavenly; both are children of Faith, both know God intimately. To reiterate: Isaac’s blessing to Jacob, he speaks of the dew of heaven (a heavenly kingdom), and the fatness of the earth (an earthly kingdom) during the millennium.

“May God give you of the dew of heaven, of the fatness of the earth, and plenty of grain (Jewish: Grain) and wine (Gentile: Grapes). Let people serve you, and nations bow down to you. Be master over your brethren, and let your mother’s sons bow down to you, cursed be everyone who curses you, and blessed be those who bless you” (Gen 27: 28-29).

This lends credibility to God having two wives in the same way Jacob had two wives.

Rachel was Jacob’s first love but his second wife. Leah was Jacob’s second love but his first wife. Leah was fertile but Rachel was barren.

God called the Jews an unfaithful spiritual harlot worshiping other gods. It was Rachel who took her father’s idols acting the part of the spiritual harlot. Like God, Jacob cursed the person (the Jews) who had taken (up) with the false Gods.

“With whomever you find your gods, do not let him live.” Genesis 31:32

This duplicity began before the Gentiles were brought under the umbrella of faith while Gentiles were considered unclean heathens and dogs. But God referred to Jews as sheep, a called out nation designated to be a holy nation to the world given the law, the prophets, the priesthood, and the promise of a coming Messiah. They had a spiritual “banquet table” of God’s blessings.

Sheep are symbolic of Israel. Jesus came only to the lost sheep of Israel at his first advent. Take note that Rachel was a shepherdess.

Genesis 29:6 “look, his daughter Rachel is coming with the sheep.”

Even Rachel’s Hebrew name means “Ewe” a female sheep. Grace Age believers are called dogs. [This is not to say that God’s character does not apply to His Gentile bride as well as His Jewish Bride. Psalms 23 should be embraced by the church as much as it is by Jewish believers.]

Leah seemingly was treated badly, like a dog.

Neither Abraham, Isaac, nor Jacob were considered Jews. Only when the twelve tribes came out of Egypt were the sons of Jacob called Jews.

INWARD AND OUTWARD BEAUTY

Genesis 29:17 Leah’s eyes were delicate, soft, crossed, or faded, but (the flipside is:) Rachel was beautiful of form and appearance.

Eyes are the windows of the soul, understanding the spiritual realm.

Ephesians 1:18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

Rachel was able to call the shots because of her beauty, forcing Leah to fade into the background. Scripture focuses mainly on Rachel’s outward beauty, but speaks to Leah’s inward and outward appearance. Leah’s beauty was different:

I Peter 3:2-4 Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

Rachel’s beauty was her pride. The writers of scripture speak of Satan’s beauty, how his beauty led to his pride and his pride to his foolishness and fall.

Ezekiel 28:11, 17 “You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. “Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty;”

Psalm 49:13-14 “This is the way of those who are foolish, and of their posterity who approve their sayings. Like sheep they are laid in the grave; Death shall feed on them; the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; And their beauty shall be consumed in the grave, far from their dwelling.”

Proverbs 6:25 “Do not lust after her beauty in your heart, Nor let her allure you with her eyelids.”

Proverbs 31:30 “Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.”

Like Rachel, the Jews became arrogant because of their beauty.

Ezekiel 16:7, 14-15 I made you thrive like a plant in the field; and you grew, matured, and became very beautiful. Your fame went out among the nations because of your beauty, for it was perfect through My splendor which I had bestowed on you,” says the Lord God. “But you trusted in your own beauty, played the harlot because of your fame.

Remember it was Rachel who played the spiritual harlot with Laban’s gods. But Leah’s eyes tell us that she and the Gentile church had eyes that are “Rak” (Strong’s 7401) dim, tender, faded and maimed as each topic is discussed.

  1. Tender Hearted:

Leah certainly appears to be tender-hearted both as a person and as the representative of the Gentile church.

Ephesians 4:32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
I Peter 3:8 Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous;

  1. Dim Eyed:

Paul, the apostle to the Gentile believers writes:

For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. 1 Corinthians 13:12

3. Faded: Leah faded into the background

4. Maimed:

Leah’s weak (maimed) eyes remind us of parables Jesus gave to the Jews: the parable of a king who had a wedding feast; how he substituted the maimed (the Gentiles) in the place of the ingrates (the Jews). [Until God woos them back through much tribulation]

Matt 22:2-10 “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.”’ But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, and another to his business. And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.’ So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests.

Luke 14:16-24 Then He said to him, “A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’ 18 But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’ And another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.’ Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’ So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’ And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’ Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled, for I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.’”

THE RAPTURE AND THE TRIBULATION

The concept of God having two wives and two agendas; one for the Jews and one for the Gentiles; one an earthly kingdom and one a heavenly kingdom, lends credence to looking forward toward the future as well as the past with an eye on these two agendas.

Prior to the age of grace God focused on the Jews with Gentile exceptions. With the temporary Gentile substitution during the age of grace God focuses on Gentiles with Jewish exceptions. At some point in the future God will once again focus on the Jews during the tribulation, Daniel’s 70th week. The entire book of Revelation, from the first page to the last page, deals with this time of tribulation designed to bring the Jews to an acknowledgment of their Messiah. The assemblies (churches) in the first few chapters of Revelation refer to Jewish assemblies.

The tribulation will have a redeeming effect on the Jews:

Jeremiah 50:4 “In those days and in that time,” says the Lord, “The children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together; with continual weeping they shall come, and seek the Lord their God.

Hosea 5:15 I will return again to My place Till they acknowledge their offense. Then they will seek My face; In their affliction (tribulation) they will earnestly seek Me.”

The tribulation is called the time of affliction, the day of Jacob’s trouble, the time of sorrows, and the day of the Lord’s wrath, among other scriptural labels. It is the toes on Nebuchadnezzar’s statue and Daniel’s 70th week.

During Jacob’s time there was a seven year physical famine. During the tribulation there will be a seven year spiritual famine.

Amos 8:11-12 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God, “That I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the Lord.

They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord, But shall not find it.

How does this fit into Jacob’s marriage to Leah and Rachel? I propose that there will be not one, but two wedding feasts in the future, one for the gentile bride of Christ and one for the Jewish bride; one during the tribulation and one after the end of the tribulation, in the same way Jacob first had Leah’s wedding feast for one week while Rachel was in anguish, then Rachel’s wedding feast. Leah’s wedding feast occurs during Daniel’s 70th week. Rachel’s wedding feast occurs quickly after Jesus’ return during the feast of tabernacles, under the chupah.

Take note: Laban’s words to Jacob when Jacob discovered Leah had been substituted for Rachel:

Fulfill her (Leah’s) week (Daniel’s 70th week!), and we will give you this one (Rachel) also for the service which you will serve with me still another seven years.” Then Jacob did so and fulfilled her (Leah’s) week. So he (Laban) gave him his daughter Rachel as wife also. Genesis 29:27-28

In other words, fulfill the Gentiles, Leah’s week in heaven during Daniel’s 70th week and Jesus shall also have Rachel, the Jews, for a wife also soon after Jesus’ return. One wedding will take place in heaven (as the stars of the heavens), one will take place on earth (as the dust of the earth) in the New Jerusalem.

JEWISH WEDDINGS

In the tradition of a Jewish wedding: A) the bride is chosen, B) a contract is made, C) the groom goes to make a place for his wife at his father’s house. After the abode is completely prepared, then the groom returns for his wife, takes her to his father’s house where the wedding takes place. D) The wife is lifted up (in a chair) E) There are two witnesses for the wedding, and finally, a seven day wedding feast is celebrated. This ritual is for Jew and Gentile alike.

  1. THE CHOOSING

JEWS (With Gentile Exceptions): The Jews had been chosen by God in the Old Testament.

The Lord delighted only in your fathers, to love them; and He chose their descendants after them, you above all peoples, as it is this day. Deuteronomy 10:15

O seed of Israel His servant, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones! 1 Chronicles 16:13

You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. John 15:16

If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. John 15:19

GENTILES (With Jewish Exceptions): The Gentiles were chosen in Paul’s writings.

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; And the base things of the world and the things which are despised (the dogs) God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are. I Corinthians 1:27-28

[Note: When God saw that Leah was Hated (despised), He opened her womb to fertility.]

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 1 Peter 2:9

  1. THE CONTRACT (Ketubah) – The ketubah, the traditional Jewish wedding contract, is an integral part of the wedding ceremony.

THE JEWISH CONTRACT:The Jewish Contract was made on Mt. Sinai with Moses.

Then he (Moses) took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that the Lord has said we will do, and be obedient.” Exodus 24:7

THE GENTILE CONTRACT:The Gentile Contract was made by Jesus at the last supper.

For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Matthew 26:28

  1. THE PREPARATION FOR THE BRIDE AND THE RETURN OF THE GROOM:

John 14:2-3 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. (Meaning of the word “Mansions”: Strongs G3438: a staying, abiding, dwelling, abode.)

  1. THE TWO WITNESSES

According to Jewish law, two witnesses play the most pivotal role in the marriage ceremony.

Revelation 11:11-12 The Witnesses Resurrected: Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.

Such are the specifications for the heavenly and earthy weddings as spelled out above.

THE HANDMAIDENS

The following explanation is purely speculative concerning the part of Leah’s and Rachel’s hand maidens, without supporting evidence or argument, but opinion only.

When God called the descendants of Abraham, they were Jew only…but with Gentile exceptions. Likewise during the Gentile age of Grace they are Gentile only, but there are also Jewish exceptions. The exceptions, Gentile and Jew, are Leah and Rachel’s handmaidens who also bear fruit.

Genesis 29:24 And Laban gave his maid Zilpah (“drooping”) to his daughter Leah (“weary”) as a maid.

Genesis 29:29 And Laban gave his maid Bilhah (“faltering; bashful”) to his daughter Rachel (“Ewe”) as a maid.

  • Rachel (symbolic of the Jewish wife) bore two sons:
  1. Joseph “May Jehovah add/give increase”
  2. Benjamin “Son of my right hand”
  • Bilhah (symbolic of the Jewish wife with Gentile exceptions such as Rahab and Ruth.) bore two sons:
  1. Dan “Judgment”
  2. Naphtali “my struggle, my strife”
  • Leah (Symbolic of Gentile Grace Age Believers) bore six sons:
  1. Reuben (the firstborn) “behold, a son”
  2. Simeon “Obedient; listening; little hyena” (In the Bible, Simeon was the old man who recognized Jesus as the Messiah).
  3. Levi “Attached or pledged” (in the Bible Levi was assigned Priestly duties in the same way Jesus is now our High Priest),
  4. Judah“praised” (From Judah comes the Messiah, Jesus)
  5. Issachar “reward; recompense” (Jesus did the work. Believers get the reward).
  6. Zebulun “to dwell” and “gift, dowry” (Jesus went to prepare a place to dwell for his bride).
  • Zilpah (Symbolic of Gentile Grace Age Believers with Jewish exception such as Messianic believers) bore two sons:

1 Gad “fortune, troops”
2. Asher “happy, blessed”

Who knows? Perhaps at the end of the ages, these are the percentages of the harvest.

If, however; this is too far of a stretch, we must remember that the sons of the hand maidens were claimed by the two wives as their own.

THE GENTILE AGE OF GRACE HEAVENLY WEDDING

The Rapture is the event for Grace Age believers (Gentile with Jewish exceptions) both dead and alive.

1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

The Age of Grace bride meets the Lord in the air, unlike Jesus’ return when His foot touches the Mount of Olives. These are two separate events. When Jesus returns, the Mount of Olives is split in half as Jesus and His army goes forth to fight on behalf of the remnant of Jews, all believing Jews, as they face total annihilation.

Matthew 10:22 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end (of the tribulation) will be saved (both physically and spiritually).

Matthew 24:13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved (both physically and spiritually).

Some argue the word “Rapture” doesn’t appear in scripture. I disagree. The Rapture is the “catching up” of I Thessalonians 4:17 when believers will be gathered together to meet the Lord in the air. The Latin Vulgate uses the word “rapiemur”, which may be translated “we shall be raptured” or “we shall be caught up.”

I Thessalonians 4:15-17 says “For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep (dead). For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be “caught up (rapiemur)” together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall always be with the Lord.”

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (the tribulation) shall not come, except there come a falling away (apostasia) first, and that man of sin (the Antichrist) be revealed (comes to power and signs a seven year peace treaty with Israel), the son of perdition;”

Below is the definition of Apostasia, translated “falling away”:

Definition of apostasia: 646 apostasía (“leave, depart,”) which is derived from 575 /apó, “away from” and 2476 /histémi, “stand”)

Properly, it is a departure (implying desertion); apostasy – literally, “a leaving, from a previous standing.”

Is there implied a double meaning (a double blessing) from this enigmatic word? “That day shall not come, except there come a “departure” (from this world) AND/OR “falling away” (from the truths of God) first. WHEN that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition (the Antichrist).”

At the rapture, the gospel of the Age of Grace is finished. The door to Noah’s Ark is shut and sealed. Those who neglected “such a great salvation” can no longer claim it. Now, one almost has to be beheaded to obtain salvation. Those left behind, outside the Ark, endure the Day of Wrath even as those in time past endured God’s Wrath with the Flooding of the earth.

THE TEN VIRGINS AND THE RAPTURE:
Matthew 25:1-6
The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins

“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps (the Word of God) and took no oil (the Holy Spirit) with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept, “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’

Going out is the Rapture. Coming back is the Return. Without the Holy Spirit (the oil), five virgins (the Jewish worshipers who do not believe in the identity of Jesus but believe they have the Word of God) are left behind. They do not have oil in their lamp (the Holy Spirit). Five Virgins go out, the Grace Age believers who have the anointing of the symbolic oil of the Holy Spirit, the Bride of Christ, symbolized by Leah.

Leah, the Gentile bride, is the fruitful bride.

Colossians 1:10 That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

2 Peter 1:5-8 Fruitful Growth in the Faith: But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Gentile Age of Grace believers, having a wedding “week” in heaven during the tribulation, will return to earth with Jesus who will then wed his Jewish wife, Rachel, the former idol worshiper.

Paul, who took the gospel to the uncircumcised (the Gentiles) will be the best man (friend of the groom) at the Gentile wedding in heaven during the tribulation.

Ephesians 5:27 That He might present her (the Gentile bride) to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

Note two witnesses on earth are killed and taken into heaven in the middle of the tribulation. Two witnesses are required for a wedding. Perhaps these witnesses will return to earth with the believers at Jesus’ return to earth to be witnesses for a second wedding, the Jewish wedding.

The two witnesses ascend into heaven at the same time (the middle of the tribulation) as Satan is kicked out of heaven. Satan is thrown to earth where he will indwell the Antichrist. If Satan was in heaven, he was there as an accuser. In the middle of the tribulation (wedding) he no longer has that advantage. Jesus was engaged and Satan is enraged. The first wedding is taking place. Satan is not dressed in the linen of righteousness and he is thrown out of heaven (along with his followers):

Matthew 22:11-13 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he said unto him, Friend, how came you in not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Revelation 20:1-2 – Satan Bound 1,000 Years – Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;

[Note: Satan, his followers and non-believers on earth will not be afforded an appropriate wedding garment – their fate is noted.]

THE JEWISH EARTHLY WEDDING:

John the Baptizer will be the best man (friend of the groom) at the earthly Jewish wedding.

John 3:29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice.

Matthew 11:11 “Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women (on earth) there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven (Paul) is greater than he.

Unlike the rapture, believers are not met in the air, but, being converted during the tribulation and having survived, instead will witness His coming with all the saints. The following verses describe this event:

Revelation 1:7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him.

Rev 19:11-13 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

Song of Solomon 3:11 Go forth, O daughters of Zion, and see King Solomon with the crown with which his mother crowned him on the day of his wedding, the day of the gladness of his heart. (Note: The book of Song of Solomon is symbolic of God’s relationship with His people, the Jews. Solomon, here, is symbolic of Jesus the Messiah and His marriage to the Jews.)

The shouts of jubilation you hear are coming from those who have been in hiding, hunted by the Antichrist ruling from Jerusalem. His agenda has been to annihilate the Jews or anyone not taking his mark. Jesus and the saints have destroyed his power. He is dethroned and running for his life.

The remnant of Jews is the 144,000 who were sealed by God. But hopelessness has taken over. Bedraggled, starved, having seen horrors unimaginable, they know that soon, not a single Jew will be left.

When all hope is gone, they see their Savior coming on the clouds. In their affliction they cry out to Him whom their ancestors had pierced, their joy is inconceivable. They come out of hiding from caves, from holes in the ground, hidden rooms, forests, false names, and strange lands.

Hear their shouting, crying, and singing! They have been saved physically and spiritually. There is dancing in Jerusalem; Jewish songs, circles of joy and happiness, new hope and survival. The flag of the Antichrist is destroyed, the red upside down Star of David with its black background, having displayed its satanic nature. A bright, new flag is hoisted, blue and white with the Star of David pointing upwards toward the God of the heavens, not downward toward Satan.

But the sinners living in Zion are terrified:

Isaiah 33:14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; Fearfulness has seized the hypocrites: “Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?”

Rachel, God’s Jewish wife, was a barren wife who became fertile towards the end of her life. The Jewish people were barren in bringing the light to the Gentiles.

Matthew 3:10 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Matthew 21:43 “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you (the Jews) and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it (the Gentiles).

Rachel finally becomes fertile at the end of her life giving birth to Joseph and then Benjamin, dying in the process (the tribulation is called the Day of Sorrows of a woman giving birth). During the tribulation: a great number of souls from the tribulation are praising God. This great number is due to 144,000 young virgin Jewish men who were sealed by God and who have traveled the earth spreading what I refer to as the gospel of the tribulation: It includes the identity of Jesus the Messiah, to repent and be baptized, that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand: AND do NOT take the mark of the beast.

The gospel is the same, but its dispensation is different.

The following verses describe Rachel’s (the Jews) fertility:

Genesis 30:22 Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb.

Revelation 7:9-10, 13-14 A Multitude from the Great Tribulation: After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues (Jews and Gentiles), standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?” And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”

Isaiah 54:1 [A Perpetual Covenant of Peace] “Sing, O barren, You who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, You who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married woman,” says the Lord.

However; for those who chose to take the mark of the beast, the smoke of their torment ascends forever, because they have acquiesced to worshiping the Antichrist.

Revelation 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

The term “King” is never used in regard to Grace Age believers. That term is used exclusively for the Jews. Jesus is called the head of the body for Grace Age Believers.

In the book of Hebrews, written to the Jews, Paul urges the Jews to be part of the taking down of the veil that separates the Jews from the Gentiles and warns them to escape the coming Day of Wrath by not neglecting such a GREAT SALVATION.

Hebrews 2:3 How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,

Once the rapture occurs, the door of the dispensation of grace is slammed shut and sealed, protecting the righteous for the Judgment to come. The Age of Grace is over. Now a new dispensation begins: “Do Not Take the Mark of the Beast.” It would be a violation of scripture to allow Grace Age Believers to enter this dispensation. The two cannot exist together. During the tribulation, one almost has to be beheaded to obtain his or her salvation. The flood of God’s wrath covers the sea of people left on the earth, but the righteous are sealed inside the ark.

The Age of Grace’s “GREAT SALVATION” is a salvation based on reliance on God. It is the law of liberty, a liberty not for one’s own blessing, but for the blessings of others that by love, many should become partakers of Jesus’ sacrifice; his blood and his flesh.

1 Corinthians 10:33 … Just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

HOW DO TWO WEDDINGS FIT INTO THE JEWISH SPRING AND FALL FEASTS?

The two loaves of bread offered during the feast of unleavened bread represent Rachel and Leah, Law and Grace, Jew and Gentile.

Note: Above: All the Spring Feasts were fulfilled literally. Jesus became the Passover Lamb on Passover; His triumphal entry was the selection of the Passover Lamb. In between, His teachings in the temple were examined by the Priests and Pharisees for spot or blemish but they could find no cause to kill him. Jesus was in the heart of the earth for 3 days and 3 nights. He rose from the dead on First Fruits, because He was the first to be raised from the dead. After His resurrection, during the wave offering, the tombs of certain saints were opened. Together, they became a “sheaf” of resurrections as represented by the “wave offering” where a sheaf is waved before God.

There are two loaves of unleavened bread offered during the Feast of Unleavened Bread: one for Jew and one for Gentile. The unleavened bread is symbolic of having no sin; Pride puffs up.

Of the Fall Feasts: The Feast of Trumpets fits the pattern (whether symbolic or literal), of the prophetic rapture and resurrections. It immediately precedes the Seven Days of Affliction (the tribulation). During the tribulation, Leah is having her wedding week in heaven. At the end of the Days of Affliction (the tribulation), the Day of Atonement fits the pattern of the return of Christ with His saints.

There is a four day gap after Yom Kippur until Sukkot, or the Feast of Tabernacles, where Jesus marries His Jewish bride (Rachel) under a Chupah (gazebo, tent, covering) and the celebration lasts for the wedding week of seven days.

Lastly Hanukah, the festival of lights, in the last month of the year, is the dedication of the New Jerusalem and the temple. However; this feast is man made after the defilement of Antiochus IV. The New Jerusalem is not introduced to man until after there is a New Heaven and a New Earth.

Revelation 21:14, 19-21 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

The stones of the High Priest’s breastplate appear as one of three lists of gems, in the Bible. In Ezekiel 28:13, in Revelations 21:19–20, and in Exodus 28:17–20 are lists of the 12 foundation stones.

The temple is the presence of Jesus. He is the light of the temple.

SALVATION KNOCKS AT THE DOOR DURING THE TRIBULATION

How strange to find the following verse in Revelation, the tribulation:

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

It echoes the wording of Jesus’ words in Luke, “be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately.”

The master is returning from a wedding! Symbolically, “Leah” (the gentile bride) has been resurrected/raptured. A wedding is occurring in heaven for 7 years, just like Leah’s wedding ceremony took place for 7 days.

Genesis 29:27 Fulfill her week, and we will give you this one also for the service which you will serve with me still another seven years.”

The master is knocking on the door of his own house, the house of the Jews, his brethren who have rejected him. Remember these words:

Hosea 5:15: I will return again to My place Till they acknowledge their offense. Then they will seek My face; In their affliction (tribulation) they will earnestly seek Me.”

Luke 13:34 Assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’

Where is His place now? After his resurrection, he sat down at the right hand of God. [Ref. Hebrews 1:3, Hebrews 1:13, Hebrews 8:1, Romans 8:34, Hebrews 10:12, Hebrews 12:2, Ephesians 1:20, Colossi ans 3:1]

PREPARATION FOR THE SECOND, EARTHLY WEDDING

Just like Jacob’s weddings, the Gentile Bride and the Jewish Bride have weddings one after another.

Jesus relates the story of a master who is returning from a wedding. This could certainly be Jesus returning to earth from a wedding in heaven.

Luke 12:35-40 “Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately. Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them. And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

Note: No one knowing the “day” or “hour” is expressively used for the 2nd coming. Paul writes: BUT YOU (believers) are NOT in DARKNESS (an unrevealed secret of God) that you should be taken by surprise.

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.

THE REDEMPTION OF THE HARLOT

In Revelation John sees a harlot riding a Beast. That beast is Satan who influences the rulers of the earthly kingdoms of the world during the time the Jews were, are, and will be in captivity. The harlot riding the beast is the city of Jerusalem in her idolatry of other gods. Jerusalem in Revelation is called “That Great City … Where our Lord was crucified”. She is also called Sodom for her debauchery and Egypt for her worldliness. During that time the Antichrist rules the world from Jerusalem, which is why she is called Babylon the harlot. Other nations are in charge of God’s holy city for the Jews. The Antichrist serves the Club of Rome, the UN, WHO and all the global unities.

Revelation 11:8b “… the great city which spiritually is called Sodom (debauchery) and Egypt (worldliness), where also our Lord was crucified.”

Note: Jerusalem is also called Babylon (idolatry). The name on the forehead expresses that person’s or thing’s unique character, culture, or soul; all invisible, spiritual attributes which only God can see unless revealed to men by the Holy Spirit.

But at Jesus’ return something wonderful happens! Jerusalem, the harlot, is redeemed. This is similar to Rahab the Harlot at the battle of Jericho. Rahab marries Salmon (descendant of Judah). Their family tree becomes Boaz, Jesse, King David, and ultimately, the Messiah, Jesus the Christ, King of the Jews, Head of the Bride, Ruler of the nations of the earth:

Rev 19:7-9 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb (The Jewish wedding) has come, and His wife has made herself ready (the tribulation made her ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts (works, not grace) of the saints. Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’”

Revelation 21:2, 14 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: … Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. (Note: there is nothing in the New Jerusalem that is part of the Gentile believers, this is a Jewish city.)

“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

The Jews were espoused to God in the Old Testament in the same way Joseph was espoused to Mary in the four gospels. God made a marriage contract with the Jews on Mount Sinai but they broke this contract. They said they would do all that was commanded them…but immediately they made an idol, a calf of gold and worshiped it. They acted like Hosea’s unfaithful wife.

The official, spiritual wedding ceremony will not take place until Christ returns to earth.

THE WHOLE HOUSE OF ISRAEL

Jews and Gentiles, earth and heaven, dust and stars, sheep and dogs, tribulation and rapture, Rachel and Leah: together Jacob’s family completes the Whole House of Israel (children of faith), God’s agenda for all true believers, those who have wrestled with God and have overcome. Jacob, like all believers, changed from relying on manipulative ways to relying on God; resulting in receiving God’s blessings.

During the Millennium the Gentile bride of Christ will co-reign with Him. At the end of the Millennium, at the Great White Throne Judgment, the Gentile church will be judging angels.

1 Corinthians 6:3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels?

The Jewish bride will judge the twelve tribes of Israel even as the Jews perform as priests in the New Jerusalem. As priests, they carry out the law.

Abraham, the father of Isaac, the father of Jacob (Israel), is called “The Father of Faith.” Through Abraham God builds the whole house of Israel (children of faith).

Galatians 3:8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.”

At the marriage of Ruth (the Gentile) and Boaz (the Jew) all the people who were at the gate, and the elders, said, “We are witnesses. The Lord make the woman who is coming to your house like Rachel and Leah, the two who built the house of Israel; and may you prosper in Ephrathah and be famous in Bethlehem (the birthplace of Jesus). Ruth 4:11

(Could one witness be a Jew and the other a Gentile? Just a thought. The meaning of a “witness” is “pillar”. The Egyptians called the pillars inscribed with hieroglyphics (pictographs) “witnesses” because the pillars had a story to tell, like the two witnesses during the tribulation, their story is the identity of Jesus as their Messiah.

IMPLICATIONS CONCERNING END TIME EVENTS

The rapture of the church occurs just prior to the tribulation. Leah’s wedding feast lasts one week which is Daniel’s 70th week or seven years.

The Antichrist will not be revealed until He who constrains is taken out of the way. Believers filled with the Holy Spirit are restraining the Antichrist. When the rapture occurs, the Antichrist is revealed, unrestrained, and the tribulation begins.

The “tribulation” is a “thrashing”. The two words are synonymous. It is a time when the world experiences first God’s wrath, then, in the middle of the tribulation, after 3-1/2 years, it experiences Satan’s wrath as well. It is a time like no other.

Note: Thrashing involves beating a stalk of wheat to separate the wheat from the chaff. It gives an image of how the Jews are suffering during this time period as though God is taking them to the wood shed and giving them a “thrashing”. It is Interesting to note that King David purchased the land now known as Jerusalem from Araunah who used it as a “threshing” or “thrashing” floor.

The tribulation (thrashing) is also called a time of sorrows, describing a woman in childbirth.

Genesis 35:19-20 Rachel labored in childbirth, and she had hard labor. So Rachel died.

Only 1/10th of 1/10th is considered a remnant. Only 1/10th of 1/10th of the Jews will survive the tribulation.

With just over 7.5 million Jews, Israel is the only Jewish majority and explicitly Jewish state. Jewish population figures for the United States are around 7.5 million.

1/10th of 15,000,000 are 1,500,000. 1/10th of 1,500,000 are only 150,000. Approximately 150,000 will survive the tribulation or perhaps only the 144,000 sealed by God.

THE MILLENNIUM

At the end of the tribulation Jesus returns to earth to save the remnant of Jews and set up his kingdom on earth for 1,000 years. Grace Age believers co-reign with Jesus even as Jews act as priests in Jerusalem. The Antichrist and the false prophet have been thrown into the lake of fire (even before the Great White Throne Judgment!)

The Jews and Gentiles serve together to complete God’s agenda on earth:

Hebrews 12:22-24 But you (the Jewish believers) have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling (Jesus’ blood) that speaks better things than that of Abel.

THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT

At the end of the 1,000 year millennium, at the Great White Throne Judgment, Satan is released to complete his job as “accuser” of men. He will not have “a case” against the children of faith because under the blood of Christ, they are “sinless” (the book of life). Those who rejected Jesus as their Messiah or their Husband, will be judged by the law (the book of works). Those judged by the law, since they could not keep the law are not guiltless. They can only hope for the book of remembrance for a portion of mercy.

Each law breaker is thrown into the lake of fire where the Antichrist and the false prophet are. God then creates a new heaven and a new earth.

As Rabbi Jonathan Bernis says, “God cannot create a new heaven and a new earth until the Jews take their rightful place in God’s history.” Remember, God’s words through Jeremiah the prophet:

Jeremiah 31:35-37 Thus says the Lord, Who gives the sun for a light by day, The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, Who disturbs the sea, And its waves roar (The Lord of hosts is His name):
“If those ordinances depart from before Me, says the Lord,
ONLY THEN the seed of Israel shall also cease from being a nation before Me forever.”

The very fact that God protected the Jews from annihilation during millenniums of persecution is proof positive that God is not yet done with his people. And if the Gentiles were grafted into the stalk, and if one argues there are no Jews, there are also no Gentiles; for the Gentile cannot exist without the stalk. And if the Gentiles were grafted in to make the Jews envious, then there is a reason, a completion yet to come for God provoking the Jews to envy.

Ephesians 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven (heavenly kingdom) and which are on earth (earthly kingdom)—in Him.

THIS CRITICAL AGE IN WHICH WE LIVE

In these last days, the blindness of the Jews is lifting. More Jews have been saved in the last 20 years than in the last 2,000 years, according to Rabbi Jonathan Bernis. Paul warned the Gentiles this would happen. Furthermore, the lifting of the blindness of the Jews means the fullness of the Gentiles is coming to an end! If the fullness of the Gentiles is coming to an end then the rapture is at our doorstep.

Romans 11:25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

Yes! When the blindness is lifted for Israel, THEN will there be a fullness (an end) to the Gentile Age of Grace. We, brothers and sisters, are witnesses to this very event today. For those who have ears, they can hear the rumbling of the prophecies and the trumpet yet to be blown.

Rabbi David, just returning from Israel (11/18/2016), exclaimed how there is an acceptance of Messianic Jews like never before, even by the Orthodox Jews! Something surely is changing. If the blindness is lifting from the Jews, then… how close is the rapture? How much time is left before the fifth feast comes, the Feast of Trumpets, the rapture? Once the door to Noah’s ark is shut, it is too late. Let us not be blind but be vigilant in the days in which we are living.

Romans 11:17-27, 29, 33-34 If some of the branches were broken off, and you (Gentiles), being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches.

Note: Paul calls the Gentiles a Wild Olive Tree. Therefore; the Jews are the original Olive Tree. Jesus was a Jew and the root of the Olive Tree.

But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.

You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity (scattering and tribulation); but toward you, goodness (the rapture/resurrection), if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.

And they (the Jews) also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will (again!) be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. For if you were cut out of the (wild Gentile) olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated (Jewish) olive tree, how much more will these (Jews), who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved (the entire remnant), as it is written:

“The Deliverer will come out of Zion, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; for this is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins.” (At the end of the tribulation)

Have the gentiles also become blinded that they cannot see God’s agenda for the Jews?

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

“For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counselor?

Understanding God’s agenda is the difference between cursing the Jews and blessing the Jews. Now more than ever, this is the timing of the transition. God’s lighthouse is sweeping the world, once again focusing on the Mideast, on the Jews, a phenomena happening all over the world, indicating the time of the gentiles are coming to a close.

Do not forget Isaac’s blessing on Jacob:

Genesis 27:28-29 Therefore may God give you of the dew of heaven, Of the fatness of the earth, and plenty of grain and wine.
Let peoples serve you, and nations bow down to you. Be master over your brethren, and let your mother’s sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you, And blessed be those who bless you!”

Since Jesus was and is a Jew, to curse the Jews is to curse Jesus. To bless the Jews is to bless Jesus. It is the difference between feeding or starving them, between giving them water or allowing them to die of thirst, between visiting them in prison or ignoring their plight. Jesus is speaking to the Jews, to those he served at his first advent, and he is explaining his return when the “Son of Man” will judge the nations on how the nations treated the Jews:

Matthew 25:34-40 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren (the Jews), you did it to Me.’

When Jacob saw the Lord standing above the ladder that was set up on earth with angels ascending and descending on it, the Lord spoke to him and told him, “I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”

“I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants. 14 Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. 15 Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”

WHY HASN’T THIS DISCLOSURE OF GOD’S TWO AGENDAS BEEN DISCOVERED UNTIL NOW?

You may ask, why hasn’t this disclosure of God’s two wives been understood until now? I believe it is because if it had been understood in its entirety, if it had been internalized, then the Jews would not have been driven from nation to nation as prescribed by God.

Jeremiah 9:16 I will scatter them also among the Gentiles, whom neither they nor their fathers have known. And I will send a sword after them until I have consumed them.”

THE CONCLUSION OF THE AGES

The last known event on God’s timeline:

Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all. I Corinthians 15:28

THE CONCLUSION OF THIS BOOK

In Jewish understanding the number two means “there is another”; an unknown or mysterious “other”.

1) The mystery of God the Son: this mystery is hidden, even in the first sentence of Genesis, concerning creation: “In the beginning God (plural noun) created (singular verb) the heavens and the earth” Indicating a plural God and a singular God. Also, In Hebrew, God began the sentence with the letter “B” which is the second letter of the Hebrew alphabet indicating “another”.

(B’raysheet ba-RA Eh-lo-HEEM ayt ha-sha-MA-yim v’-ayt ha-A-retz)

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness (the Godhead): God was manifested in the flesh (Jesus), Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory. 1 Timothy 3:16

2) And there is also (the second mystery) the mystery of the Gentile (other) bride of God, revealed in two weddings, two wives, two agendas, two titles, two animals, two trees, two loaves, and two covenants.

[Purpose of the Mystery] To me, who am less than the least of all the saints (the least in the kingdom of heaven), this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

And to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God (in darkness) who created all things through Jesus Christ; Ephesians 3:8-9

3) It is interesting to note there are two books in the Bible focused on women: the books of Esther and Ruth, Esther a Jew and Ruth a Gentile.

4) There are two New Years: Nissan the 1st (Exodus 40:2) and Tishri 1st (Rosh Hashanah ie: Feast of Trumpets). Nissan the 1st is the New Year given to Moses (The Jewish Bride and the Law). But Tishri 1st falls in line with Rosh Hashanah being the Rapture for the Gentile Age of Grace believers. Two New Years for God’s Two Agendas!

5) Finally, there is an added meaning to the number Two. The “other” meaning is: “It is decided and it is done”, as in the dreams Joseph interpreted for the Pharaoh concerning seven years of abundance and seven years of famine. Joseph told the Pharaoh:

“The dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass. Genesis 41:32 (In other words, it is decided and it is done).

The Pharaoh’s dreams were a mystery of future events for Pharaoh and Joseph, but events that had been predetermined by God as “decided and done”. As Rabbi David says, “Only God lives in the present eternally.”

Yet, humbly, it must be mentioned there are still mysteries to come because no one knows what God does from beginning to end:

Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, Except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

NOTES:

  1. Jacob is a type of the Godhead:

JACOB IS A TYPE OF GOD, THE FATHER

Jacob was the father of Joseph who epitomized Jesus being rejected by his brethren. Joseph saves them during a seven year famine (the tribulation), and weeps as he reveals himself to them.

JACOB IS A TYPE OF GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Godhead is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit:
God is the God of Abraham (the Father of faith), Isaac as the Son, and Jacob as the Holy Spirit.

JACOB IS A TYPE OF GOD, THE SON JESUS

Jacob suffered from his brother Esau, who hated him enough to kill him. Likewise, Jesus said to the Pharisees: “You seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you…you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God.” Esau typified the Pharisees even as Jacob typified Jesus.

And He (Jesus) began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes (all of which are his brethren), and be killed, and after three days rise again. Mark 8:31

The Jews were called his “brethren” (brothers) in the same way Esau was Jacob’s brother.

Hebrews 2:11-12 He is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying: “I will declare Your name to My brethren; In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You.” (Ps 22:22)

On Isaac’s deathbed, Isaac blessed Jacob instead of Esau and the words of the blessing are prophetic for Jesus the Messiah as he will reign on earth during the millennium.

“May God give you of the dew of heaven, of the fatness of the earth, and plenty of grain and wine. Let people serve you, and nations bow down to you. Be master over your brethren, and let your mother’s sons bow down to you, cursed be everyone who curses you, and blessed be those who bless you” (Gen 27: 28-29).

The millennium will be a time when the earth is exceedingly bountiful, such that the plowman will overtake the reaper in continual harvesting.

Many verses speak to the abundance of the earth under Jesus’ reign. [ie: Amos 9:13, Zechariah 8:12]

Furthermore; the people and nations will bow down to worship him. [Psalm 86:9, Zechariah 14:16, Rev 15:4]

  1. HOW DOES THE FOUR “SPRING” JEWISH FEASTS EXPLAIN THIS THEORY? (REFER TO CHART of JEWISH FEASTS)

Before proceeding, take note: The Spring feasts represent events that happened in the past both by the Hebrews as they came out of Egypt, and parallels events that happened when Jesus came into Jerusalem, died, and rose again. The Spring Feasts are considered Fulfilled prophecies.

The Fall feasts represent historical events but foretell events that will still happen in our future. It is speculative what these last feasts represent, but it is the intent of this author to make compelling arguments for a parallel of End of Days events as prophesied by scripture beginning with the Rapture and ending with the Dedication of the Temple.

Jewish feasts follow in a chronological order. The first three occur in Nissan (Mar-Apr): Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits. Pentecost occurs in Sivan (May-June). These four feasts are considered Spring feasts.

Each feast pointed to a prophetic spiritual event, fulfilled on its exact day by Jesus at His first advent. (When he returns in the future it will be his second advent.) Following are the feasts according to their chronological order:

  • PASSOVER (14th Nissan). On Passover, a lamb was slaughtered and its blood was put over the doorposts of the Hebrews’ dwellings in Egypt to save them from the angel of death. Every year, at the Passover there would be a reenactment of this ritual to remind the Israelites of their deliverance from slavery under the Pharaohs of Egypt.

Exodus 12:1-14 ‘On the tenth of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb…  Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year. Now you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight.

Likewise, Jesus, the Lamb of God, was sacrificed on Passover, a male without defect riding into Jerusalem on the very day the sacrificial lambs were being selected for the slaughter; for three days he was examined by the chief priests and rulers even as the sacrificial lamb in Exodus was to be examined for spot or blemish for three days. He was crucified, dying before twilight, and his body was taken down before the Passover Celebration High Sabbath..

  • UNLEAVENED BREAD (15th to the 21st Nissan). On the 15th Nissan Moses led the Hebrew captives out of Egypt.

Likewise; on the 15th at his death, Jesus descends into Sheol, (Jesus calls Sheol “the belly of the “sea monster”), to free the captives.

Jonah 1:17 [Jonah’s Prayer and Deliverance] Now the Lord had prepared a sea monster to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the sea monster three days and three nights.

Luke 11:29 [Seeking a Sign] And while the crowds were thickly gathered together, He began to say, “This is an evil generation. It seeks a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah the prophet.”

Matthew 12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the sea monster, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Unleavened bread is made without yeast. Yeast causes bread to rise or become puffed up. Yeast represents pride/hypocrisy/sin.

Matthew 16:6 Then Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.”

The feast of Unleavened Bread celebrates the work of the cross and the destruction of the power of Satan who is the king over the children of pride (leaven).

Acts 26:18 turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith.

He (Satan/Leviathan/Sea Monster) beholds every high thing; He is king over all the children of pride (leaven).” Job 41:34

  1. FIRST FRUITS (17th of Nissan): God told Moses to celebrate the harvest in the Promised Land which He gave to them. First Fruits ALWAYS falls on a Sunday, the first day of the week because it ALWAYS follow the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week.

Leviticus 23:39 Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the feast of the Lord for seven days; on the first day there shall be a sabbath-rest, and on the eighth day a sabbath-rest.

Jesus rose from the dead as the First Fruits of all who will be resurrected at the Harvest of the Lord. Jesus IS the Promised Land for all believers. Jesus and those whose tombs were opened are the sheaf wave offering and the beginning of the first resurrection (harvest).

“But now is Christ risen from the dead and become the first fruits of them that slept.”…”For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order, Christ the first fruits, afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.” 1 Corinthians 15:20,23.

  1. PENTECOST: 50 Days after the sheaf offering (First Fruits/Resurrection) there is a new grain offering.

God gave the Ten Commandments (the Jewish law) to Moses on Pentecost on Mt. Sinai. In contrast, fifty days after Christ’s resurrection believers received the Holy Spirit (the Gentile Age of Grace) Acts 2:1.

The Ten Commandments were the manifestation of the old covenant (Law, The Jews, Rachel) while the giving of the Holy Spirit is the manifestation of the new covenant (Grace, Gentile Church, Leah).

  1. HOW DO THE FALL JEWISH FEASTS FIT FOR MANKIND’S FUTURE? (REFER TO CHART of JEWISH FEASTS)

Four Fall feasts have no prophetic fulfillment as yet. However; given the scriptures we can predict that which lies ahead for the believer and the unbeliever concerning the second advent of Jesus the Messiah. Furthermore; what does this mean in the future for the two wedding feasts of Leah and Rachel?

The Four Fall feasts are: “Trumpets (Rosh HaShanah)”, “The Day of Atonement”, and “Tabernacles (Sukkot)”. A forth Fall feast is Hanukkah which celebrates the re-dedication of the Temple after the defilement of Antiochus IV Epiphenes, a foreshadowing of the Antichrist who will rule over the world and the Jews during the seven year tribulation. Hanukkah occurs in Kislev (December) and often parallels Christmas. December 25th is when Antiochus IV Epiphenes sacrificed a pig on the altar in the Holy of Holies desecrating the temple in the same way the Antichrist will desecrate the Holy of Holies in the middle of the tribulation declaring that he is god.

Just as each Spring feast pointed to a prophetic spiritual event at Jesus’ First Advent on earth; Each Fall feast will also point to a prophetic spiritual event. The red blocks on the below chart show proposed future prophetic events at Jesus’ Second Advent.

  1. ROSH HA SHANAH (Feast of Trumpets): the 1st Tishri. A High Sabbath on which the Israelites were to blow the shofar and do no work. Even the “Blowing of Trumpets”could literally mean shouting, an acclamation of joy… or a battle cry…or both! The trumpet is blown 100 times.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

The last trump is the main harvest of believers, the resurrections and rapture. This is an acclamation of joy! A trump for celebrating the Jewish Feasts.

Rosh ha Shanah (Feast of Trumpets) lasts for two days. Following Rosh ha Shanah there is a little known “celebration” called Yomin Noraim which lasts for seven days. Yomin Noraim means “The days of Affliction” when Jews are to afflict their souls (in repentance) and in preparation for the next Jewish feast on the heels of Affliction (Yomin Noraim), called Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement and also called the Day of Return.

  • Leviticus 23:29 For any person who is not afflicted in soul on that same day shall be cut off from his people.

2 days for Rosh ha Shanah (Jewish Calendar Tishri 1-2), 7 days for Yomin Noraim (Tishri 3-9), and 1 day for Yom Kippur (Tishri 10), a total of ten days called “The High Holy Days” or “The Days of Awe”.

  1. YOM KIPPUR (The Day of Atonement): 10th Tishri; An affliction of the soul. A celebration of those who will survive the tribulation and an escape from judgment for the Jewish remnant, those who relied on God to save them.

Also the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the Day of Atonement. It shall be a holy convocation for you; you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. And you shall do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before the Lord your God. For any person who is not afflicted in soul on that same day shall be cut off from his people. And any person who does any work on that same day, that person I will destroy from among his people. You shall do no manner of work; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. It shall be to you a sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall afflict your souls; on the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall celebrate your sabbath.” [Leviticus 23:26-32]

The tribulation is the Time of Affliction, also Yom Kippur, the day of Atonement. It is a time when the Jews will be totally reliant on God to save them. The only work they could possibly do to save themselves is to take the mark of the beast. If they do, the smoke of their torment will rise up forever, cut off from their people and destroyed by God.

Hosea 5:15 I will return again to My place Till they acknowledge their offense. Then they will seek My face; In their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.”

To live physically is to die spiritually. To die physically is to live spiritually.

  • John 12:25 He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

Yom Kippur atones for sins between man and God. Christ’s return on the Day of Atonement is related to the “opening of the books”, but is not to be confused with the Great White Throne judgment in Revelation 20:12. It is customary to wear white, which symbolizes purity and calls to mind the promise that the sins of the redeemed shall be made white as snow (Is. 1:18)

  • Daniel 7:10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, and the books were opened.

Read the entire chapter of Daniel 7: The above verse (representing the end of the tribulation and day of atonement) is described just following the description of the Antichrist and just prior to Jesus being given the kingdom. Daniel 7:13-14. Likewise; the celebration of Yom Kippur also follows this same sequence.

  1. SUKKOT (The Feast of Tabernacles): Lasts for seven days Nishri 15th – 22nd. It begins five days after the Day of Atonement (when the books are opened). The last, and seventh, of the Jewish Feasts prescribed by God.

Sukkot is Rachel’s wedding feast!. Nishri 15th is the beginning of Rachel’s wedding feast which also lasts exactly seven days.

I would speculate Rachel had four days to prepare for her wedding feast after her week of anguish (tribulation). Rachel’s wedding feast will last seven days, just as Leah had her wedding week of seven days. I can only imagine Rachel’s anguish during Leah’s wedding feast which should have been her wedding day!

In a Jewish wedding, the couple is typically married under a Sukkot.

“Think of Sukkot as a joyous wedding under the chuppah (canopy).”
Rabbi Judah Dardik J Weekly.com Friday, October 6, 2006

On the first day of Sukkot, each participant collects branches of wild (open and free) olive (anointing), myrtle (fragrant), palm (righteous and upright), and soft branches from the willow tree which prospers among the waters (of people). These are used for construction of their booth (Nehemiah 8:13-18), in which they live for the next seven days. It is a time of great rejoicing for all …

And you shall rejoice in your feast, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your man-servant, and your maid-servant, and the Levite, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within your gates. Deuteronomy 16:14

And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God. Revelation 19:6-9

The marriage supper also celebrates the fact that Jesus is now reigning! Like Esther, the Jews are married to the King! Except this king is the Jewish King of Kings!

The two most important ceremonies of the Feast of Tabernacles are the pouring out of water drawn from the pool of Siloam and the illumination of the Temple; both of post-Mosaic origin referring back to the water and the “pillar of light” provided during the wilderness wandering, when people dwelt in temporary shelters.

“In the last day (eighth day), that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water” (John 7:37-38).

The Son of God announced in the clearest possible way He alone was the source of life and blessing; He alone could meet every need of the human heart. He was asking for his Jewish bride’s hand in marriage.

If the 7 days of affliction in the High Holy Days are in fact a representation of the 7 year tribulation, then the 1,335 days in Daniel comes to light:

  1. There is another feast, an 8th feast, totally separate from the other feasts, a man made feast: HANUKAH celebrated on Kislev 25th, the ninth month. (Note: Kislev 24 is when the foundation stone of the second temple was laid)

Hanukah ALWAYS begins 75 days after the Day of Atonement, celebrated for 8 days, a new beginning.

Note: Hanukah is the Jewish word for “dedication”.

Historically, it is a celebration of the dedication of the Temple after the Jews defeated Antiochus Epiphanies, a Syrian King who invaded Jerusalem, defiled the Temple by placing an image of Zeus in the Temple, and offered a pig on the altar. This is EXACTLY what the Antichrist does in the middle of the tribulation (except he will declare that he is god in the holy of holies).

Revelation 21:22 [The Glory of the New Jerusalem] But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

Hanukah is always 75 days after The Day of Atonement; See Daniel 12:12 which goes beyond the end of the tribulation:

Blessed is he that waits, and comes (arrives) to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. Daniel 12:12. (1,335 days)

“1,335 days is exactly 75 days more than the 1260 days (3-1/2 years) that the Antichrist will reign (in Jerusalem). So, if the Antichrist is destroyed on the Day of Atonement, then the extra 75 days lands us directly on the first day of Hanukah in the future.” !!!
Carol Brooks http://www.inplainsite.org/html/seven_feasts_of_israel.html#FOI-06

It is also the celebration of lights: The New Jerusalem will be illuminated by the Glory of God, the ultimate celebration of Lights.

The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. Revelation 21:23
