Revelation 4

• About the title: The Ayes Have It! The Eyes Have It! The Seven Eyes of God go throughout the earth. When the time arrives for the rapture the Eyes of God knows who are His.
• I Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

The Throne Room of Heaven

Revelation 4:¹ After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”

• To meet God in the air is a “Rapture”. The air is also called the heavens.

Revelation 4:² Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne.

• John the Beloved was raptured into a spiritual dimension, the place of God’s dwelling.

Revelation 4:3 And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.

Revelation 4:4 Around the throne were twenty-four elders, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads.

Revelation 4:5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices.
Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God (aka the seven EYES of God).

• The Fire in the Lamps is Light and Heat, the Understanding of God of both His gifts (tongues of fire) and His Judgments (the lake of fire).

• Rev 5:⁶ And I looked, and behold, in the midst (middle) of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst (middle) of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

• In Zechariah 4 they are called the seven Eyes of God as the seven Spirits of God.
• Zech 4:2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:
• Zech 4:6Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This (The Lamp) is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
• Zech 4:10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

• Lamps are symbolic of Light and Understanding.

• ►The Seven Spirits of God

• Isaiah 11:2 “Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Might, Knowledge, Fear of the Lord” AND I John 5:6 “Truth”

• Note the pattern of 6 and 1: The first six are found in Isaiah 11:2 and the seventh is in I John 5:6.

• The six and 1 pattern is found throughout scripture, for example, God created the heavens and the earth on six days and on the seventh day He rested. The seventh is special and separated. The meaning of the word “Holy” means to separate (from sin) and it is sacred.
  

By implication the meaning of the number seven is a “week” H7651.

The root meaning of seven is vow/oath/ covenant.

H7650 šāḇaʿ – Oath
H7651 šeḇaʿ– A Week by implication
H7659 šiḇʿāṯayim – Sevenfold

Symbolically it means completion and perfection.

Of Sevenfold it means 70 “weeks” (or the number 490) Matthew 18:21-22 NLT “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven (aka a week!)”

The Hebrew of the number seven is tied together with meanings that bloom like a flower, used throughout scripture, and prophetic: From a “week” to Seventy times Seven/aka a week which is Daniel’s 70 weeks.

• Once something is perfect, it is completed; it is “FINISHED!” God’s eyes also see the end and the beginning.

What makes the seventh Spirit of God “Truth”, separated and so special?

Because no man knows what truth is except the Son, who is Truth. Man’s reality is distorted with sin, therefore only God can reveal what is good and what is evil, what is moral and what is immoral, what is damning and what is eternal, what makes the system work and what breaks the system down, and finally, that which is Truth and that which is a lie.

“Seven” matches man’s memory capacity. In 1956, George Miller of Harvard University wrote what is today considered one of the classic papers in psychology in which he demonstrated that most people can retain roughly seven items of information in their short-term memory.

Revelation 4:6 Before the throne there was (something like) a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.

• Crystal is a prism, separating the Light of the Lamps into the colors of the Rainbow.

Revelation 4:7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf (ox), the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.

Revelation 4:⁸ The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes (understanding) around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying:

“Holy, holy, holy,
Lord God Almighty,
Who was (past) and is (present) and is to come (future) !”

Revelation 4:9-10 Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:

Revelation 4:11 “You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”
