BIBLE: Zechariah Chapter 1
| The Seven “Days” of Affliction during the Jewish Feast of the High Holy Days reminds us of the Seven Year Tribulation, called “A WEEK” by Daniel. _ _ _ The purpose of the Seven Year Tribulation is to open the eyes of the blinded Jews to recognize their Messiah, Jesus, when He returns to earth and saves them. At the end of the Tribulation every last Jew will be a “believer”. _ _ _ It is noteworthy that the pattern of the High Holy Days, in their sequence are: the Rapture, the Tribulation, and the Return; in that order. The same pattern matches Isaiah 21:12 of “Morning, Night of Boiling, Return” or RAPTURE before the Tribulation, then the Tribulation, then Jesus’ Return. _ _ _ When it comes to prophesies, no one knows whether the dates are literal or a pattern until the prophecies are completely fulfilled. As the saying goes, “Don’t get ready for company. Instead, always be ready”. _ _ _ Many interesting parallels come to surface in comparing Feasts with certain Prophesies. Are the dates literal or patterns? If the feast comparisons are only patterns, then what are these patterns trying to tell us? |

| THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS:· Prior to the Feast of Trumpets the trumpets are blown 3 times a day for 30 days to equal 90 times. During the Feast of Trumpets they are blown another 10 times. Paul notes that the rapture and resurrections will occur “at the last trump.” (1 Corinthians 15:52 ) THE WEEK OF AFFLICTION· A Type of “Last Supper” to examine oneself and to repent. There is no longed for “Night of Rest” (Peace Treaty), only a “Night of Terror” (Betrayal). THE DAY OF ATONEMENT:· Jesus returns to the earth and to the Jews to deliver them from complete annihilation at the end of the tribulation. The name for the Day of Atonement is also called the Return. On the last day of the High Holy Days, the Jews return to God, without realizing it may mean much more: God will literally return to them. · The Ark of the Torah remains open on the Day of Atonement. In Revelation 11:19 scripture notes the following: Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail. The lightnings, noises, thunderings, etc. are consistent with the presence of Jesus signaling His return to earth.· The Day of Atonement is called The Closing of the Gates. Jesus will then rule on earth from Jerusalem for 1,000 years. |
