Isaiah 27

Isaiah 27:¹¹ When its boughs (branches) are withered, they will be broken off;

• Trees are symbolic for men.
  Trees have pitch/sap which is like man’s blood, supplying life to the man.
  Pitch in Hebrew literally means “Atonement”
  If a tree is withered, it is dead. If the tree is a man he is spiritually dead without Atonement.
  
• Dry wood is dead wood. Dead wood has no sap (blood of the tree for life). The root Hebrew word for Sap/pitch is literally “atonement”. H3722 kāp̄ar
