Zechariah 14
- There is a distinction between the battle against Jerusalem by the Antichrist in the middle of the Tribulation and the battle of Armageddon at the end of the Tribulation.
Zechariah 14:3 Then the Lord (yᵊhōvâ) will go forth
And fight against those (Gentile) nations (Gog and Magog, Ezekiel 38, Psalm 83),
As He fights in the day of battle (Armageddon).
- Gog and Agag are interchangeable names. Agag was the evil king of the Amalekites. The historical genealogy of the Amalakites includes: King Agag, Hamon, and (based on Ezekiel 38:16-17), will also include the coming Antichrist: Gog is “He who…”, “he of whom”, “the one who…”
Ezekiel 38:16 You will come up against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed in you, O Gog, before their eyes.” 17 Thus says the Lord God: “Are you HE OF WHOM I have spoken in former days by My servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied for years in those days that I would bring you against them?
