Zechariah 14

Zechariah 14:4a And in that day (Jesus’s Return) His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east.

There is a distinction between the “Rapture” and the “Return”. Zechariah 14 addresses the “Return”.

  • Jesus’s feet will stand on Mount Olives at His return. (However, the Rapture is a previous event when the saints meet the Lord in the air and subsequently return with Him for the battle of Armageddon.)

[At the Rapture, the Saints are caught up to meet the Lord in the air. At His return, His foot will stand on the Mount of Olives. The Rapture and the Return are two separate events, seemingly patterned after the High Holy Days (The ten Days of Awe). The first two days of the High Holy Days are “The Feast of Trumpets (like the Rapture)” followed by seven days of affliction (like the Seven Year Tribulation), and the tenth day completes the High Holy Days on the singular Day of Atonement (like the Return of Jesus with the saints).]
  • Acts 1:10-12 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come (the Return) in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” 12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet (Olives),
  • Therefore, the Rapture and the Return are two separate events, which appear to be celebrated as in the High Holy Days:
  • The “Yomim Noraim” (High Holy Days) are days of affliction lasting ALL ten days for those on earth. They begin with the Raptures and Resurrections of the Saints, followed by seven (of ten) days of affliction (a pattern of the Seven Years of Tribulation), then the last day is called The Day of Atonement, and the Day of Return (totaling ten days).

Rapture-Tribulation-Return.

►The Pattern of Rapture-Tribulation-Return all occur in one verse: Isaiah 21:11

  • ►This pattern appears in Isaiah 21:11
    The watchman said,
“The morning (rapture) comes, and also the night (tribulation).
    If you will inquire (boil), inquire (boil);
    Return! Come back!” (return) .

►Furthermore, the early and the latter rain have the same pattern: Rapture (early rain) then the Return (latter rain) [the early and latter rain can be either the spring and autumn harvest when the Jewish month Nisan is used or the autumn and spring rains when the Jewish month Tishri is used.]

  • Furthermore, the early and the latter rain appear in the same pattern: Rapture (early rain) then the Return (latter rain): (using Nissan as the New Year)

Joel 2:23 Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the Lord your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain, And the latter rain in the first (resurrections?).

[The faithful rain in Hebrew is the Messiah, the faithful teacher. The rains come before the harvest and after the harvest, and the harvest is the resurrection of believers. There is a resurrection at the Rapture, and again after the Tribulation. These are named “the former rain” and “the latter rain”. “In the first” means the first resurrection, which includes all the resurrections of believers. The second resurrection is the resurrection of all non-believers.]

Hosea 6:3 Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth.

Jeremiah 5:24 They do not say in their heart, “Let us now fear the Lord our God, Who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season. He reserves for us the appointed weeks of the harvest (Jewish Feasts).”

Hosea 10:12 Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.

Isaiah 45:8 “Rain down, you heavens, from above, And let the skies pour down righteousness; Let the earth open, let them bring forth salvation, And let righteousness spring up together. I, the Lord, have created it.

Psalm 72:6 He shall come down like rain upon the grass before mowing, like showers that water the earth.

James 5:7 Be Patient and Persevering – Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.
  • ► The faithful believers, according to Paul, are not destined for the Day of the Lord’s Wrath (the tribulation).

I Thessalonians 5:9 For God did not appoint us to (the day of) wrath (the tribulation), but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
