In 2010, a collection of jewelry pieces was found in a ceramic jug in Megiddo (Greek Armageddon). The jewelry dates to around 1100 BC The collection includes beads made of carnelian stone, a ring and earrings. The jug was subjected to molecular analysis to determine the contents. The collection was probably owned by a wealthy Canaanite family, likely belonging to the ruling elite.
