A HALF:

MEANINGS:

  • A “half” means Broken- it is time to make a choice.
    • “either this, or that”
      • Five is half of Ten virgins. Five were left behind.
      • Six is half a year. It is 3-1/2 years to the middle of the tribulation and a second 3-1/2 years to the end of the tribulation. The Jews had to decide who their Messiah is..the Antichrist or Jesus in the first half. In the second half they have to decide whether they are going to take the mark of the beast.
      • There is silence in heaven for the space of half an hour.
      • King David reigns in Hebron for seven and a half years before choosing to reign in Jerusalem. In Jerusalem he takes another man’s wife.

ONE:

MEANINGS:

  • 1) The number one is the number for wholeness. Unity, Unbroken, Untorn, Undiseased, without spot or blemish.
    • Jesus’ tunic was not torn being made of one piece.
    • The church is exhorted to be of one mind in unity
    • God is “One” Deut 6:4 Since God is One and yet Three, they each share their spiritual DNA however having three separate roles. They are united in character, purpose, and will.
  • 2) Math:
    • The number ONE (ALL CAPITAL LETTERS) is the one and only source of all other subsets of all other numbers. It is the number in which no other number can supersede.
    • The number “one” (all lower case letters) is the smallest entity of the the number ONE. It can be a multiple of all entities which cannot be divided any further.

TWO:

MEANINGS:

  • God’s will is His preconceived plan for creation determined from before the beginning of creation: The number two means: “there is another”, “it is decided and done” and “it is the will of God”.
    • Verses of the number two exemplifying: there is another. The creation came about through Jesus:
      • John 5:32 There is another who bears witness of Me, and I know that the witness which He witnesses of Me is true.
      • Acts 17:7 Jason has harbored them, and these are all acting contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying there is another king—Jesus.”
      • Hebrews 7:15 And it is yet far more evident if, in the likeness of Melchizedek, there arises another priest.
    • Verses of the number two exemplifying: decided and done.
      • Genesis 41:32 And the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice because the thing is established by God (decided), and God will shortly bring it to pass (done).
      • Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end (done) from the beginning (decided), And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,’
      • Isaiah 48:3 “I have declared (decided) the former things from the beginning; they (the Word) went forth from My mouth, and I caused them to hear it. Suddenly I did them, and they came to pass (happened – done).
    • Verses of the number two exemplifying: It is God’s will.
      • Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
      • Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.
      • Exodus 12:23 For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you.
      • Matthew 18:19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
      • Isaiah 51:19 These two things have come to you; Who will be sorry for you?— Desolation and destruction, famine and sword— By whom will I comfort you?
      • Hosea 10:10 When it is My desire, I will chasten them. Peoples shall be gathered against them When I bind them for their two transgressions.
      • Hosea 6:2 After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight.

Summary: Before the beginning God instituted a plan to create the 1) heavens and 2) the earth. When God instituted His plan He did it according to HIS will, and included the mystery “there is another” (the Son), and when He decided it…it was (as good as) DONE.

THREE:

MEANING:

  • It’s time to separate:
    • The Holy from the unholy
    • The Clean from the unclean
    • The Uncommon from the common
  • “GOD” in Genesis 1:1 is the Godhead, Three Persons in “ONE” in unity and creation. (See meaning of the number ONE)
    • The Godhead is disputed by those who cannot fathom how this is possible. Yet, the book of John declares Jesus was “with” God and “was” God. Isaiah 9:6 says that Jesus is called “Almighty God” and “Eternal Father”.
    • The creatures in heaven say “holy holy holy” for each person in the Triune Godhead.
  • Verses supporting the Triune Godhead.

    • Isaiah 6:1b I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. 2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!”
      • Holy, Holy, Holy for the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

    • Revelation 4:8The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!”
    • Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
      • The Son is called Mighty God and Everlasting Father.
    • John 14:9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
      • To see the Son is to see the Father.
    • Genesis 1:1 The History of Creation – In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
      • God is “Elohim”, a plural noun used with a singular verb.
  • Therefore, even though the Godhead is something men cannot understand in the natural realm, one cannot ignore the verses which support it.
  • BIBLICAL SYMBOLISM: KING ARTAXERXES IS A METAPHOR FOR JESUS AS KING OF KINGS.
    • Three supplications to the King:
      • Esther 4:16 “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan (Or Susa), and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish.
      • One day of supplication to the Father, one day of supplication to the Son, and one day of supplication to the Holy Spirit.
  • The three elements in natural creation:
    • Height, width, and depth
    • Top, middle, and bottom
    • Liquid, gas, and solids
    • The Body, soul, and spirit
    • Rocks, plants, and animals
    • Death, burial, and resurrection
    • Matter, Energy, Information (The artifact of intelligent design)
  • The three parts of a family:
    • Father, mother, and children
  • The three aspects of time:
    • Past, present, and future
    • Hours, minutes, and seconds

THREE AND A HALF

  • God uses the number 3-1/2 to describe something that is broken. A broken week, a broken peace treaty, etc.
  • Three is the Godhead and half means it’s time to make a choice.

FOUR: Four is the number for the foundation of creation. The four corners of the world were planted by the Cornerstone (Jesus) who upholds the world by His power. Upon this foundation God has built His house (the house of mankind). The wise man builds his house upon God’s foundation.

  • The Foundation
    • Romans 11:18 do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root (Jesus) supports you.
    • Job 38:4 “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding.
    • Job 38:6 To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone,
    • Psalm 11:3 If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?
    • Isaiah 28:16 Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily.
  • Four is the number of stability.
    • The forth letter of the Hebrew alphabet is “beit” meaning “house”. The beit is written with four corners, or four bends.
  • There are four types of “wise men” in Babylon: The magicians, astrologers, the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans.
  • There are four letters in God’s Name: YHWH
  • God has four faces: the Eagle, the Man, the Cherub/Calf, and the Lion. The four gospels in the New Testament approach the story of God in each aspect of His face.
  • There are the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. Their aim is to destroy stability. There are four horses in Ezekiel, it is after the world has been stabilized.
  • In creation:
    • Directions: north, south, east, west
    • Elements:  earth, air, fire, water
    • Seasons: spring, summer, autumn, winter.
    • DNA Genomes A,G,T,C
    • Universe: space, time, matter, energy
  • There are four legs on a chair, to stabilize it.
  • There are four thoughts to stabilize a man:
    • There is a God who is in control. His name is Jesus/God
    • His purpose is for good, not evil…for me
    • Things will get better … not worse.
    • I am “ok” right now and right now is all that matters.
  • From John 4:
    Four is the number of the universal foundation of earthly physics and creation. 
    • There are four directions (North, East, South and West)
    • Four elements (earth, air, fire, water).
    • Four kingdoms (animal, vegetable, mineral, spiritual)
    • Four seasons (spring, summer, autumn, winter)
    • Four DNA genomes (A, G, T, C)
    • Four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John)
    • Four Entities of the Universe (Space, Matter, Energy, Time)
    • Four horses of the apocalypse (White, Red, Green, and Black)
    • Four Entities of the Universe (Space, Matter, Energy, Time)
    • Four Faces of God (Man, Eagle, Ox/Cherub, Lion) which are (the Son of Man, the Son of God, the Burden Bearer and husband, and the Jewish King.)
    • The four witnesses of God on earth are miracles, wonders, signs and the gifts of the Holy Spirit (Heb 2:4).
    • Four Attributes of God (Grace, Truth, Holiness, Justice)
    • Four corners of the earth. Ezekiel 7:2
    • There are four winds of heaven and the four winds of earth.
    • There were four people at Jesus’ crucifixion. The apostle John, and three Marys (the mother of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, and Mary Clopas, the sister of Jesus’ mother.)
    • Lazarus was dead for four days.
    • The number 4 symbolizes a solid foundation of values and beliefs. It is illustrated by the four corners of a house. The Hebrew “Beit” is equivalent to the letter “B” in English. The meaning of the singular letter “Beit” is “house”. The ancient Hebrew letter “Beit” has four corners and/or four turns. God is building His “house” of believers.

FIVE:

Five is the number of life.

  • We see the Fibonacci patterns all through creation. The number FIVE is embedded in the heart of the Fibonacci number pattern. This suggests the author of the Holy Bible is the same as the Creator of the Universe, the Lord God Almighty. He has placed His spiritual number signature on LIFE so we would know all this was His doing.   • Man would not have spiritual life without God’s grace.
  • Five also means Grace meaning “new life” and “born again”. Five is “half” of “ten” See “half” at the top of the number. Half means it’s time to make a choice.
  • I Samuel 17:40 Then he took his staff in his hand; and he chose for himself five smooth stones from the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag, in a pouch which he had, and his sling was in his hand. And he drew near to the Philistine.
    • Goliath had 5 brothers. Jesus had 5 brothers. The Rich man had 5 brothers. Each had choices to make.

SIX:

On the sixth day God created man. Six is the number of fallen man and three sixes is the number of the man of perdition, the Antichrist.

  • Six is “worldliness” and “the desires of the flesh”.
    • Eph 6:10-12: “the devil’s schemes,” “flesh and blood,” “rulers,” “authorities,” “powers of this dark world” and “spiritual forces of evil.”
    • Exodus 20:9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
    • Revelation 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (A trinity of unholiness: Satan, The Antichrist, and the False Prophet.)
  • Six is the number of visible reality:
    • Up and Down. Side to Side. Forwards and Backwards. A total of six.
    • Jesus is the visible manifestation of the invisible Godhead, becoming “man”.

SEVEN: The Hebrew root word for Seven is šeḇa‘, literally – an oath/covenant. Seven fulfills and completes God’s covenants (oaths). It is the number for Holiness. Seven is completion, satisfaction, perfection..

  • Seven is the number for complete satisfaction and perfection. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it without marring it.
  • Seven is the number of completion when everything is “wrapped up”.

There are seven words AND seven days in creation. On the seventh day God rested. Seven means perfection and completion. The creation was perfected and completed. It was “good”. Seven is the number for peace and rest.

  • Ezekiel 3:16 Ezekiel Is a Watchman – Now it came to pass at the end of seven days that the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
  • Ezekiel 39:12 For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them, in order to cleanse the land.
  • Jeremiah 34:14 “At the end of seven years let every man set free his Hebrew brother, who has been sold to him; and when he has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you.”
  • Seven is the number of Truth. Truth/God is “Light”. There are seven versions of Light waves: radio waves, microwaves, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet (UV) light, X-rays and gamma-rays. God created the universe from His own Light. The visible spectrum is Jesus. Jesus is the visible manifestation of an invisible God.
  • Seven is the number for: clean, cleansed, pure. Noah took seven of every clean animal into the ark.

EIGHT:

  • The root meaning of eight literally means “to make fat” (prosperity)
    šᵊmōnê H8083 Fat/oil is used to anoint kings and priests.
  • In the world to come there will be a new beginning of prosperity and fatness. Eight is the number of newness.
  • Eight follows the number seven to something new.

TEN: Ten is the number for Accountability: Foundation, Cornerstone, Ordinal Perfection, Whole.

  • Ten is a symbol of the authority of God, stability, His government on earth and man’s responsibility to God.
  • Accountability, Judgment
    • It is a tithe, a tenth of one’s income set aside for God.

    • The ten kings in Revelation who give their power to the beast.

    • The Ten Commandments (Bridges the Gap between God and Man, the spiritual and the worldly, and the “Thou Shalls” from the “Thou Shalt Nots”)

    • The Ten Virgins

    • During the millennium, ten men from every nation will revere the Jews as priests of God on the earth. (Zech 8:23)There were ten plagues on the pharaoh of Egypt.

    • Ten Times God reproached Job (Job 19:3)
    • The ten Arab nations in the war of Gog and Magog (Ps 83 and Ezek 32)
    • Nebuchadnezzar’s statue with ten toes
    • Esther has Haman’s ten sons, which were enemies of the Jews, hanged (Esther 9:13)
    • Nabal died after ten days
  • Foundation, Cornerstone
    • Foundation of creation: the Cornerstone
    • Genesis contains the phrase “God said” ten times concerning His creation.
  • Work
    • God created man with ten fingers and ten toes to use for working.
  • Jewish Feasts: The 10th of the month is significant in Jewish Feasts:
    • Nissan 10: The selection of the Passover lamb in the old testament (Exodus 12:3). Also the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem as the lamb of God (John 12:28 – 29; 1 Corinthians 5:7)
    • Tishri 10: The Day of Atonement patterned of the return of the Lord. This unique day of fasting pictures the removal of Satan, before the beginning of the millennial reign of Jesus from Jerusalem (Revelation 20:1 – 2).
  • Jesus healed ten lepers in Luke 17:15-18. One tenth returned to give Jesus gratitude. Jesus pronounced his faith had made him “whole”.

TWELVE: Twelve is the number of Government Perfection:

  1. There are 12 Jewish tribes for 12 sons of Jacob.
  2. There were 12 disciples of Jesus.
  3. There are 12 months in a year.
  4. Solomon appointed 12 officers over Israel.

FOURTEEN: Fourteen is the number of Deliverance and Salvation: For example:

  • Genesis 14:5-7 In the fourteenth (14th) year Chedorlaomer and the kings that were with him came and attacked the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, the Zuzim in Ham, the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
  • Matthew 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen (14) generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon are fourteen (14) generations, and from the captivity in Babylon until the Christ are fourteen (14) generations.
    • Matthew gives us three sets of 14 generations: 7 + 7 + 7 + 7 + 7 + 7 = six sevens
    • Daniel speaks of six “weeks”
      • Which gives us a total of six “sevens”
      • The book of Revelation is Daniel’s 70th “week/seven”.
      • We know the arrival of Jesus setting up His kingdom on earth is the seventh seven which will be a time of completion and perfection.
        • In Revelation there are six seals, six trumpets, and six bowls all coming together at the same time for the seventh seal, the seventh trumpets, and the seventh bowl to complete the prophecies at Jesus’ return.

TWENTY: The Strength and Value of a Working Man.

  • Genesis 37:28 Then Midianite traders passed by; so the brothers pulled Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels of silver. And they took Joseph to Egypt.
  • Exodus 30:14 Everyone included among those who are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering to the Lord.
  • Leviticus 27:3 if your valuation is of a male from twenty years old up to sixty years old, then your valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.
  • Leviticus 27:5 and if from five years old up to twenty years old, then your valuation for a male shall be twenty shekels, and for a female ten shekels;
  • Leviticus 27:25 And all your valuations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs to the shekel.
  • Numbers 1:3 from twenty years old and above—all who are able to go to war in Israel.
  • Numbers 1:18
  • and they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they recited their ancestry by families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, each one individually.
  • Numbers 32:11 ‘Surely none of the men who came up from Egypt, from twenty years old and above, shall see the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, because they have not wholly followed Me,
    • Only their children were allowed to enter the promised land; therefore; they had to wander in the wilderness until everyone 20 yrs and older had died, with the exception of Joshua and Caleb who had been in agreement with God to enter the promised land at Kadesh Barnea. (Joshua 14:6)
  • Judges 11:33 And he defeated them from Aroer as far as Minnith—twenty cities—and to Abel Keramim, with a very great slaughter. Thus the people of Ammon were subdued before the children of Israel.
  • Judges 15:20 And he judged Israel twenty years in the days of the Philistines.
  • Judges 16:31 And his brothers and all his father’s household came down and took him, and brought him up and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of his father Manoah. He had judged Israel twenty years.
  • 1 Samuel 7:2 – Samuel Judges Israel – So it was that the ark remained in Kirjath Jearim a long time; it was there twenty years. And all the house of Israel lamented after the Lord.
  • 1 Samuel 14:14 That first slaughter which Jonathan and his armor bearer made was about twenty men within about half an acre of land.
  • 2 Samuel 3:20 So Abner and twenty men with him came to David at Hebron. And David made a feast for Abner and the men who were with him.
  • 2 Samuel 9:10 You therefore, and your sons and your servants, shall work the land for him, and you shall bring in the harvest, that your master’s son may have food to eat. But Mephibosheth your master’s son shall eat bread at my table always.” Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.

TWENTY SIX: Twenty six is the number for the the Biblical narrative: “creation, fall and the redemption of man”.

  • Creation: The Hebrew Gematria of “Adam” is 45. Eve is 19. Since Eve was taken from Adam’s rib, 45 minus 19 equals 26. The creation of Adam is found in Genesis 1:26.
  • The Fall: Satan is the mechanism of man’s fall. In the New Testament, “Belial” is used as a proper name for Satan (2 Corinthians 6:15). The name belial is found 26 times in the Old Testament.
  • Redemption: Psalm 136 has 26 verses with the phrase “His mercy endures forever” repeated 26 times. Mercy is Grace. The number for Grace is 5. “His mercy endures forever” is also repeated 5 times in Psalm 118. This phrase also occurs separately in another 10 verses. 10 is the number of a solid foundation and the foundation stone. The foundation stone is Jesus who lives forever.

THIRTY:

  • The number of redemption
    • Exodus 21:32 If the ox gores a male or female servant, he shall give to their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned.
    • Leviticus 27:4 If it is a female, then your valuation shall be thirty shekels;
    • Deuteronomy 34:8 And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days. So the days of weeping and mourning for Moses ended.
    • Matthew 26:15 and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.

THIRTY THREE

MEANING:

  • Thirty Three is the number of purification:
    • Leviticus 12:4 She shall then continue in the blood of her purification thirty-three days. She shall not touch any hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary until the days of her purification are fulfilled.
    • Genesis 46:15 These were the sons of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob in Padan Aram, with his daughter Dinah. All the persons, his sons and his daughters, were thirty-three.
    • 1 Kings 2:11 The period that David reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years he reigned in Hebron (a time of completion, the time to move on), and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years (actually it was 33 years and 6 months, a half of a year. David was purified for 33 years after he “chose” to sin with Bathsheba.

FORTY:

Time for a Change. Seven is the time to move on and forty means it is time for a change.

  • Noah
    • It rained 40 days and 40 nights. Gen 8:6.
  • Abraham
    • Acts 7:But God spoke in this way: that his (Abraham) descendants would dwell in a foreign land, and that they would bring them into bondage and oppress them four hundred years. (Forty times ten means to be made “whole”)
  • Moses
    • Moses was on Mt. Sinai for 40 days and 40 nights (Exodus 24:18, 34:1-28 two separate times)
    • Moses sent spies, for forty days, to investigate the land God promised the Israelis as an inheritance (Numbers 13:25, 14:35)
  • Moses born: 40 years in the Pharaoh’s house until he visited his brethren (Acts 7:23)
  • Moses exile: 40 years in his exile until the Exodus
  • Moses’ call: 40 years in the wilderness until his death
  • Goliath, a Philistine enemy of the Jews, drew near and presented himself before Saul’s army, forty days, morning and evening. (I Samuel 17:16)
  • Saul the King ruled for 40 years
  • King David ruled for 40 years
  • King Solomon ruled for 40 years
  • The prophet Jonah powerfully warned ancient Nineveh, for forty days, that its destruction would come because of its many sins.
  • The prophet Elijah went 40 days without food or water at Mount Horeb.
  • Jesus went into the wilderness without food or water for 40 days.
  • The prophet Ezekiel laid on his side for 40 days to symbolize Judah’s sins. (Ezekiel 4:6)
  • Ezekiel prophesied that Egypt would be laid waste for 40 years (Ezekiel 29:12)
  • Jesus appeared to His disciples and others for 40 days after his resurrection from the dead.

FIFTY:

SEVENTY: Jews among the Gentiles.

  • There are 70 gentile nations.
  • Exodus 15:27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees; so they camped there by the waters.
  • Numbers 33:9 They moved from Marah and came to Elim. At Elim were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees; so they camped there.
    • The twelve wells of water are the 12 tribes of Israel. Jesus of the Jewish lineage is the living water.
    • A palm tree represents righteousness for its uprightness. The 70 trees are the gentile nations who draw the water into their roots for nourishment.
    • Marah means “bitterness”. (The waters were made drinkable after Moses threw a branch into them.)

  • Gentile Babylon Kings.
    • The chronology of the three Babylonian kings is given in the Talmud as follows:
    • Nebuchadnezzar reigned forty-five years,
    • Evil-merodach twenty-three, and
    • Belshazzar was monarch of Babylonia for two years, being killed at the beginning of his third year on the fatal night of the fall of Babylon.
    • A total of 70 years.
  • Jews in Gentile Egypt
    • Genesis 46:27b All the persons of the house of Jacob who went to Egypt were seventy.
    • Exodus 1:5 All those who were descendants of Jacob were seventy persons (for Joseph was in Egypt already).
    • Genesis 50:3b Forty days were required for him (Jacob), for such are the days required for those who are embalmed; and the Egyptians mourned for him (Jacob) seventy days.
  • Mount Sinai a Gentile Land
    • Exodus 24:9 On the Mountain with God. Then Moses went up, also Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel.
