Topic: Jesus as Rain, Bringing in the Harvest

Rain means “teacher” and Faithful Rain means “Teacher of Righteousness”: specifically, the Messiah.

Rain is prophetic for the coming of Christ, the former and latter rain is Jesus’ first and second coming.

Furthermore; Rain is associated with the harvests (Jeremiah 5:24). Scripture uses harvests as an analogy for resurrections.

Joel 2:23-24 Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the Lord your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully

And He will cause the rain

Zechariah 10:¹ Ask the Lord for rain in the time of the latter rain.

Jesus Portrayed as Rain

EARLY OR FORMER RAIN: October to November the early or former autumn rain
LATTER RAIN: March to April the latter spring rain
With the former rain, farmers begin ploughing and planting seeds.
Then, the latter rain, which is even more important, matures the crops for harvesting.

THE FIRST RESURRECTION: BELIEVERS ONLY, EACH IN THEIR ORDER

First Fruits, Wave Offering, Main Harvest, and Gleanings are all part of the first resurrection.

THE SECOND RESURRECTION: NON-BELIEVERS ONLY, EACH IN THEIR ORDER

One speculation concerning the second resurrection is that it may be illustrated by the “heavy” rain of trembling in Ezra.
- Ezra 10:8 and that whoever would not come within three days, according to the instructions of the leaders and elders, all his property would be confiscated, and he himself would be separated from the assembly of those from the captivity.
- Ezra 10:9 So all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered at Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth of the month; and all the people sat in the open square of the house of God, trembling because of this matter and because of heavy rain h1653 gešem.
- Ezra 10:13 But there are many people; it is the season for heavy rain, and we are not able to stand outside. Nor is this the work of one or two days, for there are many of us who have transgressed in this matter.
- Ezra 10:14 Please, let the leaders of our entire assembly stand; and let all those in our cities who have taken pagan wives (spiritual influences) come at appointed times, together with the elders and judges of their cities, until the fierce wrath of our God is turned away from us in this matter.”

Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares (weeds/nonbelievers) and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat (believers) into my barn (God’s house).” ’ ”
Matthew 13:38 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.
Matthew 13:39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.
Matthew 13:40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age.

Matthew 9:37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

Joel 3:13 Put in the sickle, for the harvest (of wrath) is ripe. Come, go down; For the winepress is full (ready for red wine/blood), The vats overflow— For their wickedness is great.”

Jeremiah 8:20 “The harvest is past, The summer is ended, And we are not saved!”

Jeremiah 51:33 For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “The daughter of Babylon (Jerusalem) is like a threshing floor When it is time to thresh her; Yet a little while And the time of her harvest will come.”
Note: Jerusalem is the daughter of Babylon in the latter days during the kingdom of the Antichrist. She will immerse herself in globalism (a one world government), idolatry (a one-world religion), and a one world language. The Antichrist rules from Jerusalem in the end times.

THE END FOR THE UNRIGHTEOUS UNBELIEVERS

Matthew 8:¹¹And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven (Jewish). ¹² But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
