Home Page: Quantum Study Bible

  • A cup can hold many things: wrath, death, iniquity, blessings, salvation, God’s fury and man’s trembling, consolation, horror and desolation, drunkenness, greed and wickedness, the Lord, demons, a new covenant, indignation, abominations and the filthiness of fornication.
    • The cup of iniquity is a measuring cup. When iniquities fill the cup, God steps in and takes action. It is the cup of Passover. A cup of Healing.
    • The cup of wrath, horror and desolation leaves a sick man trembling. It is a vial of foul medicine made from blood to treat the terminal disease of sin. When the medicine is refused, death ensues. It is the cup of Yom Kippur. A cup of wrath.
    • The cup of drunkenness, greed, wickedness, abominations, fornication and demons is an hourglass, a timer of one’s life. When the sand has run its course, one’s time is up. This is the cup of vanity, fruitlessness, emptiness and self idolatry. It is dry as a desert. There is no liquid – only sand. This is the cup of the Seven Days of Affliction.
    • The cup of consolation is a bottle of celebratory wine that numbs the pain of the past. It is the cup of Hanukah.

  • Cup, as a container for a man’s life:
    • The value of a container is the value of what it contains.

  • The cup (container) being passed to Jesus is the cup of agony, the cup of death. It is the cup He must accept for the pact between God and mankind to precede. This pact was made before the foundations of the heaven and the earth were laid. It was decided even before the beginning.
