NOTE: Jesus is King of kings AND He is also the Lord God (Yᵊhōvâ ‘ĕlōhîm)

  • Throughout the Book of Psalms, Jesus is part of the Godhead, the Trinity.

Psalm 10:16a The Lord (Yᵊhōvâ) is King forever and ever;

Psalm 2:6 “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.”

Psalm 5:2 Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God (‘ĕlōhîm), For to You I will pray. (Note: ‘ĕlōhîm is also the God of Creation).

Psalm 20:9 Save, Lord (Yᵊhōvâ)! May the King answer us when we call.

Psalm 24:7-8 Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord (Yᵊhōvâ) strong and mighty, The Lord (Yᵊhōvâ) mighty in battle.

Psalm 29:10 The Lord Yᵊhōvâ sat enthroned at the Flood, And the Lord Yᵊhōvâ sits as King forever.

Psalm 45:6 Your throne, O God ‘ĕlōhîm, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

Psalm 47:2 For the Lord Most High Yᵊhōvâ ʿelyôn is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth.

Psalm 68:24 They have seen Your procession, O God ‘ĕlōhîm, The procession of my God ‘ēl, my King, into the sanctuary.

Psalm 74:12 For God ‘ĕlōhîm is my King from of old, Working salvation yᵊšûʿâ in the midst of the earth.

  • Jesus’ name in Hebrew is yᵊšûʿâ (Yeshua). Jesus is His Greek name.

Psalm 84:3 Even the sparrow has found a home, And the swallow a nest for herself, Where she may lay her young— Even Your altars, O Lord of hosts Yᵊhōvâ ṣāḇā’, My King and my God ‘ĕlōhîm.

Psalm 110:5 The Lord (‘ăḏōnāy) is at Your (God’s) right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath.

  • This event occurs when Jesus returns to earth at the end of the Tribulation.

Psalm 145:1 – A Song of God’s Majesty and Love – A Praise of David. – I will extol You, my God ĕlôha, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
