Ephesians 5
Walk in Love
Ephesians 5:1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.
- What does it mean to be “chosen?” God chose believers from the beginning of the foundation of the world.
- It means dying to one’s self and living to serve others as led by the Holy Spirit even as Jesus died to self when He washed His disciple’s feet.
- The greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven is those who serve others on earth.
Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
Ephesians 5:3 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints;
Ephesians 5:4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.
- fornication, uncleanness, covetousness, filthiness, foolish talking, and coarse jesting serves none.
Ephesians 5:5 For (know this) this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
Ephesians 5:6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
Ephesians 5:7 Therefore do not be partakers with them.
Walk in Light
Ephesians 5:8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light
- Walk through the door of the dark room into the Light of God.
Ephesians 5:9 (for the fruit of the Spirit [light] is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),
Ephesians 5:10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.
Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather (reprove) expose them.
Ephesians 5:12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.
Ephesians 5:13 But all things that are (reproved) exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.
- Light reveals impurities but Light has no impurities.
Ephesians 5:14 Therefore He says:
“Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light.”
- Dying to self brings about being resurrected to a new life … in this life. It means being born again from the graveyard of this world.
Walk in Wisdom
Ephesians 5:15 See then that you walk (carefully) circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,
Ephesians 5:16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
- Matthew 24 describes the time of Jesus’ second return as evil.
Ephesians 5:17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Ephesians 5:18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,
Ephesians 5:19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,
Ephesians 5:20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Ephesians 5:21 submitting to one another in the fear of God (Christ).
- Make way where a way can be made.
Marriage—Christ and the Church
Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
- Submit means to cooperate. It doesn’t mean to be a slave.
Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
Ephesians 5:24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
- Why do men, Christian men, think they are “loving” their wives when they “lord” over her and do not consider her needs?
- Is there an option for women whose husbands are abusive?
In considering the biblical Passovers, consider another type of Passover. When Israel was evil God divorced Israel and went to the Gentiles. When a husband is abusive to a wife, she can go directly to God, passing over him, and this would be called a heart bypass.
Ephesians 5:26 that He might sanctify (set apart) and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
Ephesians 5:27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
- The Bridegroom, the Lamb of God, is also without spot or blemish, having been inspected by the chief priests and Pharisees for His teachings between His triumphal entry on Nissan 10th and His death on Nissan 14th.
- In the same way the Passover lamb is inspected for spot or blemish between the selection of the Passover lamb on Nissan 10th and its death on Nissan 14th.
Ephesians 5:28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.
- There is no love without sacrifice.
Ephesians 5:29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.
- If a man and his wife are ‘one”, and a man abuses his wife, then it like abusing one’s own fleshly body, it is like have a stroke where one have of the body works but the other half is drug behind. Likewise the woman.
Ephesians 5:30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.
Ephesians 5:31 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”
- United in purpose, character, and love.
Ephesians 5:32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
- The Church is joined with Jesus in the heavens as the espoused bride of Christ, waiting for the day of consummation of the body, seated with Him in the heavens.
- This is called “entanglement” in Quantum Physics for which this website is titled after.
- Romans 1:20 God is known by the worlds which He made. “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that ARE made (seen), even His eternal power and Godhead.“
- Quantum Entanglement: If you measure a photon’s location, you may find it in one place – and you might find it somewhere else. You can never know for certain where it is. Likewise, information shows up on this website in one place but it may show up (be linked to) somewhere else.
- A photon is a particle that has no mass. Likewise, this website has no mass.
- Superposition is the ability of some minute subatomic-scale particles to be in more than one place at the same time. It has to do with particles in the quantum world having the weird capacity to exist in all possible states (or positions) at once.
- Thanks to quantum theory, scientists have shown how pairs of particles can be linked – even if they’re on different sides of the room or opposite sides of the universe. Particles connected in this way are said to be entangled.
- So far, scientists have been able to entangle (link) photons that were 750 miles (1,300 km) apart. This website however, can go all over the world.
- How does God use “entanglement” to link heaven and earth? Quantum entanglement is one of the consequences of quantum theory. Two particles are linked across space and time, such that when changes to one of the particles occurs, the other one is affected. This instantaneous effect appears to be independent of both space and time, meaning that, in the quantum realm, effect may precede cause (the end precedes the beginning) … or, the cause may precede the effect. The Great Physicist created entanglement when He created the universe. This puts an end to the question of predestination vs free choice.
- This is called “entanglement” in Quantum Physics for which this website is titled after.
- Is quantum physics in scripture, linking heaven and earth?
- God instructed Moses to follow the instructions for the earthly precisely, according to the temple in heaven so that the temple in heaven could be “entangled” with the Jewish temple on earth.
- Hebrews 8:5 “Who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, ‘See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.’”
- Why would the temple on earth need to be identical to the temple in heaven? If the temples are “entangled” then when God’s presence is in the heavenly temple, He will also be in the earthly temple.
- Why would the temple on earth need to be identical to the temple in heaven? If the temples are “entangled” then when God’s presence is in the heavenly temple, He will also be in the earthly temple.
- Similarly, Believers are alive on earth and alive in heaven at the same time, being “entangled“.
- Ephesians 2:6 And (He) raised us (believers) up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
- God instructed Moses to follow the instructions for the earthly precisely, according to the temple in heaven so that the temple in heaven could be “entangled” with the Jewish temple on earth.
- Could this be the definition of being “sealed” by the Holy Spirit?
- The Jewish temple and the body of believers: both are temples of God which scripture has declared to be entangled with heaven. Neither death nor destruction destroys the temple(s) that are located in the spiritual realm. Hebrews 8:5 and Ephesians 2:6
- Hebrews 9:22 And according to the law almost all things are purified (cleansed) with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission (forgiveness).
-Greatness of Christ’s Sacrifice-
23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified (cleansed) with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies (representations) of the True, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; 25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another— 26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
- The Jewish temple and the body of believers: both are temples of God which scripture has declared to be entangled with heaven. Neither death nor destruction destroys the temple(s) that are located in the spiritual realm. Hebrews 8:5 and Ephesians 2:6
- Being as One
- The Godhead is “One”, united in purpose, character, and love.
- Likewise the marriage relationship between husband and wife who are also “one”.
- It is the intention of the evil one to break the bonds of both in order to set himself up as god.
- In the wilderness, Satan tempted to break His bond with His Father by bowing down and worshiping him, Satan.
- Matthew 4:9 And he (Satan) said to Him (Jesus), “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”
- In the wilderness, Satan tempted to break His bond with His Father by bowing down and worshiping him, Satan.
- The Pharisees wanted to throw off the bonds (authority) of the Godhead in Psalm 2.
- Psalm 2:3 “Let us break Their (The Godhead) bonds (of authority) in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.”
Ephesians 5:33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
- In both word and deed, and this relationship will be the loudest gospel heard around the world.
