Isaiah 43

The Redeemer of Israel

Isaiah 43:¹ But now, thus says the Lord (Yᵊhōvâ), who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.

• I have paid for you and bought you from the slave market.

The Millennium

Isaiah 43:² When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.

Isaiah 43:³ For I am the Lord your God (Yᵊhōvâ ‘ĕlōhîm),
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I gave Egypt for your ransom (figuratively, a redemption-price),
Ethiopia and Seba in your place.

• The price to purchase Israel from the slave market is Ethiopia and Seba of Egypt.
• The price to purchase anyone is Jesus’ blood and faith.

Isaiah 43:⁴ Since you were precious in My sight,
You have been honored,
And I have loved you;
Therefore I will give men for you,
And people for your life.

Isaiah 43:⁵ Fear not, for I am with you;
I will bring your descendants from the east,
And gather you from the west;

• The “regathering” happened after Antiochus IV until Herod the Great, then again after the Holocaust when they became a nation. It will happen a third time in the Millennium.

Isaiah 43:⁶ I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’
And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’
Bring My sons from afar,
And My daughters from the ends of the earth—

Isaiah 43:⁷ Everyone who is called by My name,
Whom I have created for My glory;
I have formed him, yes, I have made him.”

Isaiah 43:⁸ Bring out the blind people who have eyes,
And the deaf who have ears.

• The spiritually discerning: The blind people will see things and the deaf will hear words that will cause them to be awe struck.

Isaiah 43:⁹ Let ALL the nations be gathered together (Armageddon),
And let the people be assembled.
Who among them can declare this,
And show us former things?
Let them bring out their witnesses, that they may be justified;
Or let them hear and say, “It is truth.”

Isaiah 43:¹⁰ “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord (Yᵊhōvâ),
“And My servant (Jesus) whom I have chosen,
That you may know and believe Me,
And understand that I am He.
Before Me there was no God (‘ēl) formed,
Nor shall there be after Me.

• There is NO OTHER GOD! There is nothing before ME because there is only ME!
• I AM BECAUSE I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN.
• I AM BECAUSE I WILL NEVER CEASE TO BE.
• I AM PERVASIVE THROUGH ALL TIME, ALL DIMENSIONS, AND ALL SPACE. THEY ARE FILLED WITH ME.
• WHEN I SPEAK I SPEAK WITH ALL KNOWLEDGE.
• I GAVE YOU MY LIGHT AND YOU SOLD YOUR BIRTHRIGHT FOR DARKNESS.
• THEREFORE THE VACUUM OF DARKNESS IS YOURS.

Isaiah 43:¹¹ I, even I, am the Lord (Yᵊhōvâ),
And besides Me there is no savior.

• Jesus’ name means literally “Savior”.

Isaiah 43:¹² I have declared and saved,
I have proclaimed,
And there was no foreign god among you;
Therefore you are My witnesses,”
Says the Lord (Yᵊhōvâ), “that I am God (‘ēl).

• Yᵊhōvâ is ‘ēl
• WHEN GOD SPEAKS IT IS DETERMINED AND It iS DONE.

Isaiah 43:¹³ Indeed before the day was, I am He;
And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand;
I work (do it), and who will reverse it?”

• The evening and the morning were the first day. Before creation, I was.
• Whatever I decide will be done. It is decided and it is done.

Isaiah 43:¹⁴ Thus says the Lord (Yᵊhōvâ), your Redeemer

• Redeemer: Literally translated: your Kinsman Redeemer, gā’al

The Tribulation

The Holy One of Israel:
“For your sake I will send to Babylon (bāḇel),
And bring them all down as fugitives—
The Chaldeans, who rejoice in their ships.

• The Antichrist will rule from Jerusalem during the seven year tribulation to implement a global agenda of government, language, and currency. While he is there Jerusalem is called Babylon after the global tower of Babel and Jerusalem is a harlot.
  
  • Revelation 17:5 And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
  • The mother of harlots refers to the Tower of Babel which spawned every religion which is known today and all the idolatry.
  • Revelation 17:15 Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues (The global Antichrist)”.
    
• The city, Jerusalem, is the harlot in Revelation. Babylon is in Jerusalem.

• Yes, they will be conquered and taken to Babylon after Isaiah’s prophecies…but evil spirits never die. They just wait for their next opportunity. Their last opportunity will be the Seven Year Tribulation.

Isaiah 43:¹⁵ I am the Lord (Yᵊhōvâ), your Holy One,
The Creator of Israel, your King.”

Isaiah 43:¹⁶ Thus says the Lord (Yᵊhōvâ), who makes a way in the sea
And a path through the mighty waters,

• The parting of the Red Sea.

Isaiah 43:¹⁷ Who brings forth the chariot and horse,
The army and the power
(They shall lie down together, they shall not rise;
They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick):

• The chariot and horse are the army of the Pharaoh of Egypt,
  All perished in the waters. Not one survived. Not one Hebrew perished.

Isaiah 43:¹⁸ “Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.

Isaiah 43:¹⁹ Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.

Isaiah 43:²⁰ The beast of the field will honor Me,
The jackals and the ostriches,
Because I give waters in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert,
To give drink to My people, My chosen.

• The Chosen are those who are chosen to serve for God.

Isaiah 43:²¹ This people I have formed for Myself;
They shall declare My praise.

• In the Millennium the Jews, as priests, will be the representative of Jesus and serve Him.

Pleading with Unfaithful Israel–“Then” Past Tense

Isaiah 43:²² “But (the flipside is) you have not called upon Me, O Jacob;
And you have been weary of Me, O Israel.

Isaiah 43:²³ You have not brought Me the sheep for your burnt offerings,
Nor have you honored Me with your sacrifices.
I have not caused you to serve with grain offerings,
Nor wearied you with incense.

Isaiah 43:²⁴ You have bought Me no sweet cane with money,
Nor have you satisfied Me with the fat of your sacrifices;
But you have burdened Me with your sins,
You have wearied Me with your iniquities.

Isaiah 43:²⁵ “I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake;
And I will not remember your sins.

• The only stain remover is the blood of Jesus.
• Metaphorically, the ink that writes names in God’s Book of Life, is the blood of Jesus.

Isaiah 43:²⁶ Put Me in remembrance;
Let us contend together;
State your case, that you may be acquitted (justified).

Isaiah 43:²⁷ Your first father sinned,

• 1 Corinthians 15:45, 47 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. …The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven.

And your mediators (interpreters) have transgressed against Me.

• “Mediators”: Lit: to mock, deride or to interpret (language)
• Possibly the action of priests and so-called prophets?

Isaiah 43:²⁸ Therefore I will profane the princes of the sanctuary;
I will give Jacob to the curse,
And Israel to reproaches.
