I Corinthians 15
- “All in All” is a mysterious phrase, hard to conceive, and highly imaginative.
- About the title: A subject reaching backwards from before the beginning and stretching far into the future, where man’s understanding stops, perhaps, only to start over again; similar, to how God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning and how His Word states that He will create a new heavens and a new earth in the end.
I Corinthians 15:28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be All in All.
- This verse appears to be the very last event documented in scripture yet to be revealed. What does it mean for God to be “all in all”?
- The temporal, deficient nature of man is insufficient and unable to grasp the meaning of “All in All”; therefore, only speculation suffices in the clues left by God’s Word as dots here and there waiting for the Spirit to connect those dots as only God pleases to reveal.
- John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
- Note: the Word is called “Him”; Jesus.
- Note: Jesus created “All Things”.
- Note: Genesis 1:1, In the beginning GOD created the Heavens and the Earth.
- Note: John 1:1 Jesus created the Heavens and the Earth.
- John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
- How can Jesus be both with God and God? It seems logical that the explanation is the three persons of the Godhead: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- According to Deuteronomy 6:4, God is ONE: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God (‘Elohiym), the Lord (Yĕhovah) is ONE!”
- Note: God is both ONE and THREE.
- Like Deuteronomy 6:4, the plural of God, Elohiym, is also used in Genesis 1:1.
- Note: Genesis 1:1, In the beginning GOD (the plural Godhead Elohiym) created the Heavens and the Earth.
- Note: If God is ONE, why is He a plural noun? It seems to contradict itself! Furthermore, the verb is singular!
- The Concept of “Three as One” is similar to “All in All”.
Was there a time when God was not a Godhead? Was there a time when God was the “All in All”?
- Romans 1:20 God is known by the worlds which He made. “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that ARE made (seen), even His eternal power and Godhead.“
- Hebrews 1:2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds.
- There is a pattern in reproduction called “cell division”, or mitosis; when a cell duplicates all of its contents, including its chromosomes, and splits to form identical cells. Even in cell division, cells take on different roles. Each cell has identical DNA.
- Theory One: Jesus (and the Holy Spirit) has the Father’s identical spiritual DNA after a supernatural cell division, being ONE in Character, ONE in Purpose, and ONE in Holiness.
- Colossians 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in Him (Jesus) all the fullness (spiritual DNA of the Godhead) should dwell,
- The roles of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all different; together, they have one purpose.
- Theory One: Jesus (and the Holy Spirit) has the Father’s identical spiritual DNA after a supernatural cell division, being ONE in Character, ONE in Purpose, and ONE in Holiness.
- Embryonic Reproduction
- Theory Two: Like an embryo, the body of Christ will one day be complete, with Christ as the head of the body described in Ephesian 1:10,” that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in ONE all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.”
Therefore; I Corinthians 15:28 describes the very last act of the future: “Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him (the Father) who put all things under Him (the Son), that God may be all in all (ONE).”
- Quantum Physics, Energy, and Matter.
- Theory Three: God made everything from His own Divine Light. Light has all the necessary elements to create a universe: Energy, heat, time, space (distance), and matter.
- Light IS energy (with a minuscule amount of heat).
- Energy can be converted into Matter (Mass)
- Science has converted an enormous amount of energy into a minute amount of mass.
- Likewise, Matter can be converted into Energy
- Einstein’s equation E=MC2 converts mass (an atom) into energy (by splitting the atom to release its energy), which was used to invent the Atomic Bomb.
- Scripture is replete and repetitive, noting that God is Light.
- (Disclaimer: This is not to say that light is God because God is a Personality who is the essence of divine Light.)
- John 1:5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
- John 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.
- John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
- (Disclaimer: This is not to say that light is God because God is a Personality who is the essence of divine Light.)
- Note: Do NOT depend on science to explain God’s existence, because men must believe by faith those things which cannot be understood by human understanding.
- For Instance: Light is a constant, regardless of the relativity of space and time.
If you are traveling at the Speed of Light, Light will still pass by you at the Speed of Light. (Huh?) - Light reveals the Truth of Reality, whether it’s a physical object, seen by the eye, or an invisible, spiritual thought which hides in the darkness of the nature of fallen man. (Huh?)
- For Instance: Light is a constant, regardless of the relativity of space and time.
- Isaiah 55:8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
