A Plea for Deliverance and Forgiveness
A Psalm of David.

Psalm 25:To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
Psalm 25:O my God, I trust in You;
Let me not be ashamed;
Let not my enemies triumph over me.
Psalm 25:Indeed, let no one who waits on You (waits for You in faith) be ashamed;
Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.
Psalm 25:Show me Your ways, O Lord;
Teach me Your paths.
Psalm 25:Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day.
  • The meaning of Truth, Salvation and Wait:

►”Truth” John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

►“Salvation”
Genesis 49:18 I have waited for your salvation, O Lord!
The word “salvation” is Jesus’ Jewish name: Yeshuw’ah.
* h3444  yeshuw`ah
The New Testament is written in Greek, but in Hebrew it would be written like this:
Matthew 1:21 says: “She will give birth to a son, and you are to name him YESHUA, because he will save his people from their sins.” which reveals the nature and purpose to which Yeshua was born!

►“To wait” means to be bound to God: to be strong, robust. To produce endurance.

To Wait: Strong’s H6960
qâvâh, kaw-vaw’; a primitive root; to bind together (perhaps by twisting), i.e. collect; (figuratively) to expect:—gather (together), look, patiently, tarry, wait (for, on, upon).

►There are two kinds of binding together: One type where a person binds himself to Satan or where one binds himself to God.

  • The first type is the word for sea monster which can be translated as to coil, or twist. The sea monster is called the reptilian Leviathan and throughout scripture refers to Satan who dwells in the sea of people. Satan is also called a serpent, a dragon, a beast, a crocodile. In every case, he is a reptile. He is like a serpent because of his venom, and like a boa constrictor he can squeeze the life out of a person wrapping himself around his victim being bound together.
  • The second type is waiting patiently on the Lord. This is when, by patience, a person becomes One with God, as in a marriage where two become one.
Psalm 25:Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your loving kindnesses,
For they are from of old.
Psalm 25:Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions;
According to Your mercy remember me,
For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord.
Psalm 25:Good and upright is the Lord;
Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.
Psalm 25:The humble He guides in justice,
And the humble He teaches His way.
Psalm 25:10 All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth,
To such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.
Psalm 25:11 For Your name’s sake, O Lord,
Pardon my iniquity, for it is great.
Psalm 25:12 Who is the man that fears the Lord?
Him shall He (Or he) teach in the way He chooses.
Psalm 25:13 He himself shall dwell in properity (Lit. goodness),
And his descendants shall inherit the earth.
Psalm 25:14 The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him,
And He will show them His covenant.
Psalm 25:15 My eyes are ever toward the Lord,
For He shall pluck (Lit. bring out) my feet out of the net.
Psalm 25:16 Turn Yourself to me, and have mercy on me,
For I am desolate (lonely) and afflicted.
Psalm 25:17 The troubles of my heart have enlarged;
Bring me out of my distresses!

And forgive all my sins.

And they hate me with cruel hatred (violent hatred).

Let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You.

For I wait for You.

Out of all their troubles!
