Psalm 26

A Prayer for Divine Scrutiny and Redemption

A Psalm of David.

Psalm 26:¹ Vindicate me, O Lord (Yᵊhōvâ),
For I have walked in my integrity.
I have also trusted in the Lord (Yᵊhōvâ);
I shall not slip.

• When a man slips, he falls. When he falls he is hurt. When a man is hurt he is in danger of death.

Psalm 26:² Examine me, O Lord (Yᵊhōvâ), and prove me (test me);
Try my mind and my heart.

• If David went to a doctor he would be examined for faults and blemishes in his health. The doctor might order an ultra-sound (high frequency sound waves), an x-ray, a cat scan using xrays or an MRI using radio waves.
  
• The light spectrum reveals many things about the human body:
  
  
• It is all invisible to the human eye except that small part of the light wave which is expanded to show the details of the color spectrum. The scenery in our eyes uses the pallet of the color spectrum to mix colors and paint our visible reality, speaking poetically. In a rainbow the light waves are separated by water which acts as a prism.
  
• God is light. God sees everything in all spectrums. Jesus in the flesh is the visible manifestation of the invisible Godhead. The entire spectrum represents God. God examines the soul and heart of man with all spectrums of His Light.

Psalm 26:³ For Your lovingkindness is before my eyes,
And I have walked in Your truth.

Psalm 26:⁴ I have not sat with idolatrous mortals,
Nor will I go in with hypocrites.

• Hypocrite aw-lam’: To conceal oneself H5956.
  An actor: a dissembler. A backslider. An imposter. A shyster.

Psalm 26:⁵ I have hated the assembly of evildoers,
And will not sit with the wicked.

Psalm 26:⁶ I will wash my hands in innocence;
So I will go about Your altar, O Lord (Yᵊhōvâ),

• To wash ones hands is to be clean both physically (literally) and spiritually (symbolically).

Psalm 26:⁷ That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving,
And tell of all Your wondrous works.

Psalm 26:⁸ Lord (Yᵊhōvâ), I have loved the habitation of Your house,
And the place where Your glory dwells (Lit. of the tabernacle of Your glory).

• The glory of God dwells in the temple on earth in Jerusalem just as it also dwells in God’s temple in heaven. The two temples are superimposed such that what happens to the temple on earth affects the temple in heaven and what happens to the temple in heaven affects the temple on earth. This is the study of physics; it is called entanglement. It is similar to hyperlinks on the computer. It is also how believers can be both on earth and seated in the heavens with Jesus at the same time.

• If the temple on earth is superimposed with the temple on earth it must be pure/clean.
  
  • Hebrews 9:22 And according to the law almost all things are purified (cleansed) with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission (forgiveness).
    -Greatness of Christ’s Sacrifice-
    23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified (cleansed) with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies (representations) of the True, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; 25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another— 26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

Psalm 26:⁹ Do not gather (Do not take away) my soul with sinners,
Nor my life with bloodthirsty men,

Psalm 26:¹⁰ In whose hands is a sinister scheme,
And whose right hand is full of bribes.

Psalm 26:¹¹ But as for me, I will walk in my integrity;
Redeem me and be merciful to me.

Psalm 26:¹² My foot stands in an even place;
In the congregations I will bless the Lord (Yᵊhōvâ).

• An even place is the foundation of God; plumb square in every direction; the foundation stone of the temple.
