See Isaiah 34
The BLUE ARROW below means “You Are Here” in the book of Revelation.
- Revelation 1:19 Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this. Revelation Chapter 16 is part of “the things which will take place after this” The Tribulation.
- Revelation 16 covers ALL seven Bowls
- The bowls occur in tandem with the seals and trumpets (three racers all running to the finish line together). The seventh seal, the seventh trumpet, and the seventh bowl are one and the the same event which is Jesus appearing in the clouds at His return; displayed by an Earthquake, Thunder, Lightning, Great Hail, and Noises at His presence.
Revelation 16
The Seven Bowls
Revelation 16:1 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the (seven) bowls of the wrath of God on the earth.”
First Bowl: Loathsome Sores
Revelation 16:2 So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome (severe and malignant, lit. bad and evil) sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image.
- Chip implants linked to cancer

“Published in veterinary and toxicology journals between 1996 and 2006, the studies found that lab mice and rats injected with microchips sometimes developed subcutaneous “sarcomas” — malignant tumors, most of them encasing the implants.”
Second Bowl: The Sea Turns to Blood
Revelation 16:3 Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living creature in the sea died.
Third Bowl: The Waters Turn to Blood
Revelation 16:4 Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.
Revelation 16:5 And I heard the angel of the waters saying:
“You are righteous, O Lord,
The One who is and who was and who is to be,
Because You have judged these things.
- “Is, Was, and Will Be” repeats the outline of the book of Revelation previously stated in Revelation 1:19 “Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this”.
- The One who “is” stands in the eternal present which separates eternity past with eternity future.
Revelation 16:6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets,
And You have given them blood to drink.
For it is their just due.”
- Galatians 6:7-8 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
Revelation 16:7 And I heard another from the altar saying, “Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.”
Fourth Bowl: Men Are Scorched
Revelation 16:8 Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire.
Revelation 16:9 And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.
- They worshiped the wrong “Son”.
Fifth Bowl: Darkness and Pain
Revelation 16:10 Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain.
- When you curse the Light, your get the darkness.
- When you feel the heat, you see the Light.
Revelation 16:11 They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.
- Pain from the heat and the sores possibly from an implanted biochip.
Sixth Bowl: Euphrates Dried Up
Revelation 16:12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.
Revelation 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon (Satan), out of the mouth of the beast (The Antichrist), and out of the mouth of the false prophet (The False Prophet).
- Satan, throughout scripture is described as a reptile which includes a serpent, a dragon, a sea monster, a leviathan and rahab. Unclean spirits are described as frogs (amphibians) in Rev 16:13.
- See: Topic ”Liophis epinephelus” and the frog Phyllobates “Terribilis”and their astonishing relationship.
Revelation 16:14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
- The unclean spirits are called demons (represented as frogs), a lying hatred of Jews, gathering them together to attack Jerusalem on the day of Armageddon.
- The three places they originate are Satan, the Antichrist, and the False Prophet. They are an unholy trinity. Much like Hitler’s final solution they have an agenda to annihilate the Jews.
Revelation 16:15 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
- He is coming as a thief on His Return to Earth. This is not the timing of the Rapture.
- “When the tide goes out you can see who is swimming naked.” ~Warren Buffett
Revelation 16:16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon (Mt. Megiddo, Megiddo).

Actual Photo of the fields of Megiddo where Armageddon is prophesied to take place. |
- Imagine all the armies of the world gathered here, in the valley of Mount Megiddo. Megiddo, modern Tel Megiddo, important town of ancient Palestine, overlooking the Plain of Esdraelon (Valley of Jezreel).
- Armageddon means “Hill of Megiddo”.
- When Jesus returns He chases the Antichrist indwelt by Satan (the sea monster, the leviathan, who lives in a sea of people) through the Jezreel valley.
- Isaiah 27:1 Israel Will Be Restored – In that day the Lord with His severe sword, great and strong, Will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan that twisted serpent; And He will slay the reptile that is in the sea.
The hour will come when all prophecies from eternity past and eternity future meet in the plains of Megiddo, crashing into a war between the armies of God and the principalities of Satan to fulfill the entirety of prophecy decided by the One who lives in the present eternally.
- Isaiah 27:1 Israel Will Be Restored – In that day the Lord with His severe sword, great and strong, Will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan that twisted serpent; And He will slay the reptile that is in the sea.

- The seventh seal, trumpet and bowl sum up the wrath of God and the pomp of Satan. They ALL end with thunder, lightning, earthquake, and noises. A complete 777 which overcomes Satan’s 666.
Seventh Bowl: The Earth Utterly Shaken
Revelation 16:17 Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”
- Just before Jesus died on the cross he declared: “It is finished,” meaning this milestone has been met.
- Rev 16:17 again declares “It is done!” (it is finished), reaching another milestone.
Revelation 16:18 And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth.
- “VOICES, NOISE, THUNDERS AND EARTHQUAKE” is mentioned in Revelation three times:
Revelation 8:5, Revelation 11:19, and Revelation 16:18
Each time noting Jesus’ return.
- Each chapter has either reached the 7th seal, the 7th trumpet or the 7th bowl.
In each instance the seven year tribulation story is repeated from a different vantage point. Seals tell the story of the tribulation first, then the trumpets tell their story of the tribulation, finally a third story is told from the vantage point of the bowls.
- Reference verses describing the presence of God:
- Esther 1 in the Greek Septuagint
The vision of Mordecai
“Behold, voices and a noise, thunders and earthquake, tumult upon the earth…”
~The vision of Mordecai- The meaning of the name Haman is “tumult”, “noise” in the book of Esther, a prophetic metaphor for the confrontation of the Antichrist with Jesus at His return.
- Haman is not only a type of the Antichrist but will be the Antichrist’s ancestor.
- Exodus 19:16
Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain; and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled. - Isaiah 29: 6 NIV
“the LORD Almighty will come with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with windstorm and tempest and flames of a devouring fire.” - Job 37:2-3
Hear attentively the thunder of His voice, and the rumbling that comes from His mouth.
He sends it forth under the whole heaven, His lightning to the ends of the earth. - I Samuel 2:10
The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken in pieces; from heaven He will thunder against them. The Lord will judge the ends of the earth.
“He will give strength to His king, and exalt the horn (power) of His anointed.”
- Esther 1 in the Greek Septuagint
Revelation 16:19 Now the great city (Jerusalem) was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon (Jerusalem) was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.
Revelation 16:20 Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
See Topic: Earthquakes in Israel
Revelation 16:21 And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.
- “Behold, voices and a noise, thunders and earthquake, tumult upon the earth…”
~The vision of Mordecai – Esther chapter 1 in the Greek Septuagint. - The weight of a talent is ~75 lbs.
- Death by Hail
- On April 14,1986 at least 92 people were killed in Gopalganj, Bangladesh by some of the heaviest hailstones ever recorded, which were the size of grapefruits and weighed around 2.25 lb each. The size for a 75lb hailstone would be one large hailstone from 31 grapefruit sized hailstones.
- Although rare, hail can and has killed. According to Jerry Shaw in his July. 8, 2016 article for Newsmax, 1,000 English army soldiers were killed when a hail storm of near biblical proportions struck April 13, 1360, during an invasion of France. The invasion took place during the Hundred Years War and according to History.com, the day was recorded as “Black Monday,” with an eyewitness writing about the event as “a foul day, full of mist and hail, so that men died on horseback.”
- A team of experts from National Geographic was sent to examine as many as 200 skeletons found in a lake in Roopkund, India. Dylan Thuras writes in Atlas Obscura that the bones date to about A.D. 850 and the skulls of the victims showed that they died from bone crushing blows to their heads caused by “blunt, round objects about the size of cricket balls.” The team concluded hail delivered a swift but likely terrifying death to these unfortunate souls.
- Thuras also writes, in 1939 more than 200 people were killed during a violent hail storm in China.
- Deaths from hail in the U.S. are very rare, but according to The Weather Channel, hail did indeed kill a pizza deliveryman in Fort Worth, Texas, in 2000 which was the last confirmed death caused directly by hail.
Moral of the Story: There is a Death from Hail … and there is a Death from Hell
For the Unrepentant at Armageddon,
Hail is the First Death and Hell is the Second Death (the Lake of Fire)
Chart Below illustrates how the Seals, Trumpets, and Bowls run in tandem (side by side) throughout the tribulation.
(The question is: do the numbers coincide with the number of the year of the tribulation? For example: Do the first Seal, first Trumpet, and first Bowl all occur during the first year of the tribulation?)
The Seventh of each is the return of Jesus. With Jesus’ return they all proclaim in an earthquake, thunder, lightning, and great hail. He appears in the clouds with an innumerable army of saints and angels.
With an earthquake, thunder, lightning and great hail His army faces the armies of the world at Armageddon.
He destroys the Antichrist and the False Prophet and throws Satan into the Bottomless Pit for 1,000 years; the duration of the millennium as Jesus rules in Jerusalem.
Scripture mentions an angel of the waters (Rev 16:5), an angel of fire (Rev 14:18), and an angel of Death (1 Chronicles 21:12, 1 Chronicles 21:30, 2 Chronicles 32:21),
but there is ONLY GOD of the EARTHQUAKE, THUNDER, LIGHTNING, AND HAILSTONES.
