Amos 3
- We focus only on the verses 2, 7, 10 and 14 here. For entire chapter see {1 of 2} Amos 3.
- Coiled History Repeats itself according to evil “spirits” or God’s “Spirit” of the culture. When God is rejected, His Spirit withdraws while evil spirits move in. There is no “vacuum”; if you reject God you get Satan.
- Evil Spirits Never Die, they just wait for the next opportunity: seeking out an individual or nation to accept their lies.
- Amos is the first prophet to use the term “the Day of the Lord” in Amos 5:20. This phrase becomes important for future prophetic and apocalyptic literature. For the people of Israel “The Day of the Lord” is the day when Jesus returns to fight against His and their enemies, and it will be a day of victory for Israel. Amos 5:20 Will not the day of the Lord be darkness, instead of light,
Even very dark with no brightness in it? - To Amos “The Day of the Lord” is a day of doom at Armageddon.
- The prophecy of Amos was historically fulfilled by Assyria conquering Israel but history repeats itself and more prophecies come to life in modern-day events.
ALL The Gentiles Nations are Guilty
Amos 3:2 “I have known [chosen, cared for, and loved] only you (Israel) of all the families of the earth; Therefore, I shall punish you for all your wickedness.”
- ONLY YOU ISRAEL!
Amos 3:7
Surely the Lord God (‘ăḏōnāy Yᵊhōvâ) does nothing without revealing His secret plan (of the judgment to come) to His servants the prophets (Rev 10:7)
- God does not take action without the prophets knowing it.
- Secret plan (something unrevealed) sôḏ h5475 intimacy, consultation, a secret.
- God’s secrets mean nothing to the spiritually ignorant.
To them, it is something to mock. It is like being told that the random strip of black is special when they know that it is nothing more than a dividing line, in essence, to ignore.
As an example: I AM God, “I know who the Antichrist is, and I have revealed it.” (Ezekiel 38:
To illustrate this concept here, God chooses to tell a prophet that the random strip of black isn’t so random, but that God uses it to reveal His secret with certain instructions, such as:
“MOUSE OVER THE STRIP TO SEE GOD’S HIDDEN SECRET.”
Amos 3:10
“For they do not know how to do right”, says the Lord (Yᵊhōvâ), “these who store up violence (Literal Hebrew Word: “Hamas”) and devastation (like treasures) in their strongholds.
- The Hebrew word for violence is “HAMAS”!
Amos 3:14
“On that day (When Israel is conquered and taken captive during ‘The Seven-Year Tribulation’), when I punish Israel’s transgressions.”
- Amos’ prophesies are being fulfilled presently, in our current time. See: Topic: END TIME Do You See What I See? {One} {Two} {Three} {Four} {Five} {Six} {Seven} {Eight} {Nine} {Ten} {Eleven} {Twelve} {Thirteen} {Fifteen} {Sixteen} {Seventeen}
- The Seven-Year Tribulation is God’s way of bringing the Jews back to Him. It’s called “Tough Love”. During Armageddon, they will literally see their Jewish Messiah, Jesus, with their own eyes, and He will fight for them.
- Zechariah 12:10 Mourning for the Pierced One
“And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.
- Zechariah 12:10 Mourning for the Pierced One
- The time of Tribulation is Daniel’s Jewish 70th Week. It is completely Jewish, but the entire globe is pulled into a war based on an ancient hatred, which scripture says will never end until Jesus intervenes.
